Gingrich Gains 21 Points on Obama among Independents
Weekly Standard ^ | 3-9-12 | Anderson

Posted on 03/09/2012 9:13:46 PM PST by VinL

Three weeks ago, Rasmussen’s poll of likely voters showed Speaker Newt Gingrich trailing President Barack Obama by a whopping 27 percentage points (51 to 24 percent) among independent voters. Now, Rasmussen shows, Obama’s lead over Gingrich has shrunk to just 6 points (41 to 35 percent) among independents. Obama also leads Gingrich by 6 points (44 to 38 percent) among all likely voters.

Gas Prices... As long as gas prices are high and Obama is acting his usual stupid on this issue and advocating lunatic ideas to solve the issue he is going to keep losing more and more votes and if this stay like this by elections day there is over 70% he is going to lose the elections no matter who the Republican nominee is.

All this fake talk about economic recovery mean absolute crap for the majority of voters when they are paying such high prices for gas and high prices for everything else because of the high gas prices.

Yep. Newt’s strategy has not changed— basically, the majority may have reservations about my “baggage”- but as everything goes to hell in a handbag— you’ll love me then.

We’d known everything about Newt, and Mittie, we’ve learned about Herman, and now about Tricky Ricky, now looking worser than ever, it’s still Newt!

Newt is best when he is hammering Obama.

He has to protect his flanks from Mittens and Santorum but his attacks need to focused on Obama.

Newt in the Fall campaign will be a dynamo, like you’ve never seen. Unbeatable. Mittie and Ricky would be milquetoasts!

The next 72 hours are crucial to Newt’s campaign, please, everyone, do everything you can for Newt through the weekend and Monday. Making calls is very very important, and today the calls were about 10% more pro-Newt than they were yesterday, and we need to keep building on that.

some of the phoners are exhausted, and even if you just make 10 calls EACH DAY, it would give someone a little break. Today the phone banks were jammed, but the weekend is when everyone tends to have other things to do. PLEASE HELP NEWT!!

From Newt 2012: friday

Field and Phone Leaders, CALLING ALL HANDS ON DECK!!
Our national phone team has successfully called through the original 18,000 volunteer sign-ups. This has resulted in a refined list of volunteer prospects for all 50 states. In 3 weeks our national call team has increased by 300%, or 50 new people per week.

Our increased call capacity will help us now begin to make calls into “Super Tuesday” states or those close by that can assist and or deploy to active states.
... YOU CAN NOW CHOOSE THE STATE THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO CALL
http://newtsnetwork.com/ (click Make the CAll in upper right hand corner)

NOTE: The list filters itself by time zones. It will not show you California at 10am Eastern Time because that is 7am Pacific Time and too early to call there. Once a state’s call list opens up the state name will be added to the dropdown list for you to call. (And in the reverse, Eastern Time Zones will be removed from the list as the night wears on.)

This new reality will enable us to be highly flexible in how we operate and target prospects for GOTV and or volunteer recruitment.

Please disseminate this information to your call teams and volunteer lists.

Thank you

I feel Newt was GENIUS in formulating this $2.50 per gallon theme. It’s such perfect timing, you’ve got to wonder if he’s got a crystal ball.

It’s a populist issue ...hits everyone. And Obimbo just keeps flubbing it ...loved Newt in the video where he demonstrates that Obama is basically “trapped” by the gas issue.

Newt will trap Obama in the steel jaws of his brain, come November.

report from the ground in MS...

Friends, I have spent the better part of the last two days with a tireless and inspirational man. This Newt campaign has really been an honor. He is warm, intelligent and cares for America like nobody I have ever seen. He sincerely bleeds red, white and blue. I saw crowds fom 250 to nearly 1000 in the last 48 hours. These folks have been glued to each word and I saw inspiration in their eyes.

I’ve chatted with Newt and he truly is grateful for each and every soul in every encounter. I’m thrilled to see that we are winning here and Alabama. I hope it continues with all my heart. These other candidates are fine men but Newt was hand crafted for this unique challenge that our country now faces. I truly pray that Americans get this one right. Please do consider joining us this Sunday night. You will be amazed by this walking little chunk of history that we call Newt. ;)

PLEASE, PLEASE MAKE CALLS FOR NEWT EVERYBODY, PLEASE, ALL WEEKENDS LONG!

It’s hard, very hard to fight a demagogue. See Argentina, see Venezuela, see Bolivia. Ya think we are better than them? Think again!

Grounded people who have the brains and self control to deliver to a conservative spirit and message, are far and few between in politics. Newt will beat Obama.

Actually, if he had just stayed on message against Obama - if his handlers had done their jobs and not let him hear or see a damned ad in Iowa and Florida - and kept hammering away at Obama - his flanks would have needed no protection.

It would be over by now. His only chance is to show that he is far and away the best one to take on Obama. That will trump any GOP on GOP crime of negative ads. People like Newt when he attacks Obama. They don’t like him when he attacks Mitt or when he defends himself so much. Just the way it is.

At a time when the country is on the verge of collapse I don’t understand why some people are preoccupied with issues other than jobs, massive debt, or the growth of government that threatens to extinguish freedom for generations to come.
