Derrick Bell and Eric Holder's 'Nation of Cowards'
Big Government ^ | 3/9/2012 | Joel B. Pollak

The revelation of the relationship between President Barack Obama and the late Critical Race Theory professor Derrick Bell sheds light not only on Obama’s past beliefs, but his present governing philosophy, particularly at the Department of Justice.

It is interesting, for example, to reconsider Attorney General Eric Holder’s incendiary statement in 2009 that America is a “nation of cowards” with a view towards the influence of Bell’s ideas on Obama's cohort of left-wing legal minds.

In his speech, Holder expressed a brazen skepticism of the concept of America as a “melting pot,” seeing that as a form of self-deception. Despite the achievements of the civil rights struggle, Holder argued, racism and segregation had in some ways increased:

"Given all that we as a nation went through during the civil rights struggle it is hard for me to accept that the result of those efforts was to create an America that is more prosperous, more positively race conscious and yet is voluntarily socially segregated."

Holder’s contradictory ideas—celebrating “positive” race consciousness while decrying continued segregation—are a tempered though familiar version of Bell’s radical idea that the civil rights movement had, in many ways, entrenched white supremacy in America.

OK. It's late and I feel like rambling.

I keep asking myself- what do people who think like Bell want? No really, what is their long term goal? I keep reading that America is hopelessly racist, that even when the laws are followed it is a forgone conclusion that only Caucasians can truly "win" in this country.

So what is their solution? Destroy the system? Tear it all apart and start over? How would that work? What system would they put in it's place? Do they have a better idea? Their only solution seems to be a system that either punishes white people or favors everyone else over white people.

Honestly, I begin to get the idea that for some people no amount of favors will ever be enough. It will never end because they don't actually want equality, they want superiority. White people must pay forever and ever.

Well, actually there might be one solution that would satisfy these grievance peddlers; white people would have to become slaves to all minorities for about the next 200 years. Then things would be "even". But of course then you'd have the same problem all over again. How would the slavery of the white people end? I mean the people who originally did "wrong" would be just as long dead as the people who were originally "wronged." No one would be alive who even remembered what had happened. All they would know is how they had been treated. So then what? The white people rise up and make slaves out of the minorities again? And on and on?

I think that for all their education and high minded philosophizing people like Bell are simply rotted sacks of anger and bitterness. It's all they have. It's their reason to get up in the morning. Their anger makes them feel strong instead of weak and helpless. They mold their whole lives around it. Without their rage and hatred they'd have nothing.

Truth be told, filled as they are with all consuming bitterness and hate for some group that's "done them wrong", they already ARE nothing.

You make some excellent points. What is the goal? Why the continual complaining that America is racist and all that?

What more can society do to ensure equal opportunity?

It’s been almost 50 years since the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Voting Rights Act of 1965, and the Fair Housing Act of 1968. We have also had almost 50 years of policies such as affirmative action implemented by the federal government, state governments, colleges, employers, etc.

All of these laws and regulations have been strongly enforced over the years. The discrimination of the past is long gone. Yet we are told that this is not enough.

What more can society do? We have passed laws and implemented programs to end discrimination.

Can our society do anything more in this area? Or, as you suggest, is the end game the end of our society as we know it, to make these radicals happy?

We can see how effective CRT is in Africa. Their success speaks volumes. The people? Rudderless. No moral compass.

The evolution of religion and political thought is what gave “white” western man his achievements. He did excel. On a relative basis, civilization never touched Africa, consequently her people continue to mire in their mud.

Its this mud which leads their confusion and their attempts to explain their existence in the white mans civilization. Instead of jumping on the treadmill getting educated, and working for a living some prefer to continue to try to explain their existence and generate more hate...

In Bells case, there is nothing like a educated fool.

Worst part is we have come to learn that another idiot patronized the SOB.

Charge, try, convict, sentence and punish him.

Eric “the Red” Holder is a criminal. He took an oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution and has defied it at every step. The Attorney General has openly defied the constitution, and it begs for justice.

Thomas Sowell on Hannity tonight

http://video.foxnews.com/v/1498523842001/thomas-sowell-on-hannity/?playlist_id=86856

Two of Sowell’s comments:

Hannity: “As we look at look at this portrait of Barack Obama-—Ayers, Dohrne, Wright, Pfleger, Alinsky, Rezco, ACORN, and the way he’s governed-— What does that tell you about the President?”

Sowell: “That he too... has turned his back on the ideal of a colorblind society...and he’s really for a getting even society, a revenge society, and I think the appointment of Eric Holder and Eric Holder’s behavior as Attorney General shows that same mindset. It’s very ugly.”

Hannity: “Bell said racism is a permanent part of the American scene.... Do you agree with that?”

Sowell: “No, but I think it is a permanent part of the thinking of people who have a huge vested interest in racism.

I think of a phrase used by Dinesh D’Souza few years ago... ‘There are many black leaders who publicly claim that racism has not abated, but who privately are worried that it has because where are they going to be without racism.’”

What they contend against is nature itself. Men who want to test their superiority always battle nature. It is something over which they cannot triumph, like a rabbit can never catch the carrot on the stick.

This is the truth of it. Humans, like all mammals, always have the adult protector of the young. The mother protector may also have the duty of feeding the offspring. However, the mother cannot feed the entire colony of young. There is a mechanism that causes the mother to feed only those she has born. That bond between the young and the protector is the most strong biological bond in all of nature. It determines which set of young will be attached to which adult. It is an innate mechanism that discriminates which offspring they will protect and which protector the offspring will determine is their protector. This biological disposition is necessary for the survival of the offspring for it insures that the protector is responsible for only its own (there is a limited amount of nutrient that the mother can give to the young). This is especially important when the species lives in a large colony, like a colony of penguins—or a tribe of humans. It enables the offspring to identify which protector is theirs—even when they are identical in appearance to the other protectors. The same goes for the protector knowing which offspring is theirs. This ability to discriminate is the root of racism.

“No really, what is their long term goal?”

As you demonstrated in your beautifully written post, what people like Derrick Bell want is to make racial hostility a permanent part of the U.S. landscape. This provides people like Bell a job for life.

Holder does not rise to the level of mass murderer as it was ONLY 76 MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN that were roasted alive due to the actions of the Clinton administration, Janet Reno and Eric Holder. Most were found in a bunker. The fire would slowly have killed them. The pain would have been beyond belief. As the smoke filled the bunker they knew they would die and there was no way out for them. Imagine the horror of those people as they realized that not only would they die, but their Innocent children would also die by being roasted alive!

DEATH WAS NOT QUICK!!!!

Thomas Sowell, in my opinion, gave a profound analysis of Bell last night on the Hannity show. To paraphrase, Dr. Sowell said that Bell probably recognized that he was not intellectually competitive with the other professors at Harvard, but rather than slink away into oblivion, he chose to attempt to distinguish himself by developing the Critical Race Theory.

To me, this explains a lot about Bell, Obama, Holder, and probably others. These people "earned" their positions, not by their intellectual capability, but by their skin color. To justify this, they likely believe that they are actually inherently capable of distinguished positions, but were prevented from achieving their true heights because of discrimination. Thus, they hide their inferiority behind the cloak of the Critical Race Theory.

It is interesting that we are finally exposing the anger and racism that exists among other groups in our society. We have seen endless presentations of white racist elements - David Duke, the KKK, Nazis, etc. - but we primly hide any evidence of virulent hatred among others.

I don't think anyone would disagree that there are pronounced divisions in our country. We are the first nation to really try to unify the diverse and to codify equality based on our Constitution but this would never be an easy task. There are real differences between people in outlook, mental processes, culture, and abilities, beyond "skin color". Trying to simply sweep these differences under the rug just avoids the discussion and delays the day when we will learn to make the adjustments necessary to make everyone full and functioning members of our nation.

Eric Holder is wrong: we aren't cowards. We all know that there are elements of truth that must be addressed yet there aren't ways open to do that discussing without someone screaming "racism" and threatening the speaker.

If we ever hope to see that day of unity, crazies like Derrick Bell and Jeremiah Wright and Louie Farrakhan and, yes, Eric Holder need to be held up to the clear light of day and exposed for what they are.

If you watched Hannity last night interviewing the great Thomas Sowell, he stated it perfectly. What Bell and these race industry profiteers want is RACISM UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT.

Sowell went on to say the Bell even admitted he was given tenure at Harvard not because of any merit or qualification, but because of race. And because of that the only way Bell could make a name for himself was to be so radical on racial issues. Otherwise, what significant contribution did Bell make to Harvard academia?

Most leftist radicals, like Derek Bell, are horrified at the prospect that the racial situation in the U.S. has improved. They don’t want improvement, they want deterioration. Like all leftists, if things actually improve for the people they claim to represent, then what is their worth to society and the group they claim to speak for? Nothing, they’re worth nothing.
