Article reports that Obama’s mother attend uber liberal Unitarian churches in Honolulu and Mercer Island that were basically communist.

This contradicts Dreams of My Father in which Obama lies and says that his family never affiliated with any denomination.

I’ve never seen any cars actually entering or exiting the church, and I drive by it all the time.

Communism wasn’t a denomination back then.

So one of Obambi’s Unitarian pals led 25 tours to the old Soviet Union thus helping oppress the Alexander Solzhenitsyns of that era. No one could fail to see on those tours that as a tourist you were not allowed to go out of your hotel alone and wander the streets. The oppression and the lack of consumer goods would be obvious to all but the willfully blind.

I don't know if those two statements are mutually exclusive.
The Unitarians don't believe in anything. So being a member of a denomination that doesn't believe in anything is like not being a member of a denomination.

The Unitarians are leaders in gay marriage. Just about every UU church In my state has a rainbow flag on it signifying its support of gay marriage.

The UUs are a bunch of (mostly elderly) left-wing fools. I don’t know why they are so devoted to Communism, because they are always proclaiming their dedication to free thought, etc. I also have never figured out why they feel compelled to do anything at all on Sunday mornings, but they always trot out to their little meeting hall and celebrate the day by listening to a Marxist, gay or feminist lecture, which is apparently what they consider to be a service.

They’ve really gotten into “Occupy,” and a couple of months ago, we had a little band of them - all elderly, mostly retired librarians and such - standing on our plaza demonstrating their solidarity with Occupy and looking like utter fools. I have worked with a couple of them in other areas, and they’re all very nice people - and completely delusional.

I just know the high holy days for Unitarians are the Sundays right before an election. Their “church” is next door to mine and their parking lots (and all up and down the surrounding streets) are packed on the Sundays before elections. Otherwise, their parking lot is half-full on Sundays. I think they’re religion is purely based on political fervor.

I attended a Unitarian funeral once.
I couldn’t tell who the minister was, who died, who the mourners were or when the service started and ended. People came in, sat for a while, then went home.

Unitarians are Atheists, Agnostics, and Reform Jews; they pray “To Whom it may Concern...”

(I was told these things by an old Unitarian...)
