Gingrich disputes accuracy of latest jobless numbers (Newt takes it to Obama and his administration)
Fox News ^ | March 9, 2012 | Joy Lin

“If we had the same level of participation in the labor force we had the day Obama was sworn in, it would be 10.8 percent,” Gingrich said, disputing the calculation..that unemployment hovered at 8.3 percent for a second straight month.

... in front of an oil rig with a message for the White House: “I just wanted to point out Mr. President that this is how they get natural gas. This is drilling. They don’t get natural gas from algae. They don’t get it from electric batteries, they get it by drilling.”

“I want to invite the president to come down to Mississippi and maybe spend part of Monday with me and we can go to a couple of natural gas drilling rigs and he can see for himself, it actually works,” he told the Gulfport audience. “It’s actually worked historically. It’s actually working right this minute.”

....“I have been told that the Secretary of Defense has suggested that international agreements override the Congress,” Gingrich said, drawing boos from the audience. “If he believes that, he should resign tonight!” The audience cheered.

“Let me be clear, Leon Panetta needs to learn we do not have a United Nations secretary of defense, we have a United States secretary of defense,” he said. On the campaign trail, Gingrich has also called for the resignations for Energy Secretary Steven Chu and Interior Secretary Ken Salazar.

....The remarks came after Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., criticized the White House for bypassing Congress when it decided to participate in the NATO coalition in Libya.

....Panetta replied, "You know, our goal would be to seek international permission. And we would come to the Congress and inform you and determine how best to approach this, whether or not we would want to get permission from the Congress."...

Remember, there are 6 million fewer jobs today than when Obummer took the oath of office on that dark January day... this in a growing population.

This Presidency has been an unmitigated CATASTROPHE.

Obama Depression

The MSM talking heads say that Obama is focused like a laser on jobs...

 Obama surf
 Obama surfing
Obama will not rest until everyone has a job

Should change the caption... for his 2012 campaign poster...

Obama: Staying the course...

Obama: Staying [on] the [golf] course...

UNLIKE Rick and Mitt, Newt Gingrich didn't sit on his laurels complaining about the liberal political landscape of his state. Newt CHANGED the political landscape in GA (as he did in Washington), brought Democrats into the party, rallied people to get involved in politics -- all by pushing conservatism.

________________________________________

"ATLANTA — It wasn't so long ago that the Republican Party in Georgia was just an afterthought, and Democrats were in firm control of all the levers of state government. Back then, Newt Gingrich and other die-hard GOP stalwarts ventured across the state with the far-fetched message that Republicans could reverse the tide.

Now with commanding majorities in the Statehouse and control of all statewide offices, Gingrich is hoping his vision for how the GOP could overcome decades of Democratic dominance in Georgia will pay dividends. He sorely needs a victory when his home state votes Tuesday, along with a big chunk of its 76 delegates, to prove his stumbling presidential bid has staying power.

Many Republican figures in Georgia still credit him with championing conservative policies, outlining a framework for what a GOP majority in the state could accomplish and broadcasting talking points to a generation of up-and-coming conservative leaders. He's also applauded for lobbying conservative Democrats, like then-Rep. Nathan Deal, to switch parties.

"Everyone else was trying to lose as slowly as possible, and to die with dignity at the Alamo. He was talking confidently that the Republican majority in Georgia, in the South and nationally was right around the corner," said Ralph Reed, a veteran Georgia GOP operative who founded the national Faith and Freedom Coalition. "On the one hand it was crazy, but on the other it was just the most exciting thing you've ever heard.".....................In Ga., Gingrich helped build conservative base

It’s about freaking time that someone called Obama on his BS economic numbers. This country continues to slide into an economic abyss and the best Obama can offer is lies. Now that the settlement against the banks has been reached, foreclosures are poised to skyrocket across the country this year. That is not a sign of a rebounding economy- quite the opposite. Now we have $5/gallon gasoline to look forward to. I’m sure that will help struggling homeowners make their mortgage payments. And I’m just sick and tired of the BLS and their monthly dose of butt smoke. Just because people’s benefits run out at 99 weeks, that doesn’t mean the number of unemployed people goes down even if the rate does. It just means your numbers look better. Nobody ever wants to talk about this though. Good for Newt.

The fact that Obama is holding Israel hostage to bolster his re-election, is something that needs to be shouted from the rooftops.

The idea that he will not sell Israel the necessary bunker buster bombs or assure aerial refueling until AFTER the election should be grounds for impeachment, as our fate is tied to Israel’s.

Just as with the U.S. economy being smothered due to Obama’s refusal to approve the Canadian-U.S. pipeline, Alaska and Gulf oil production and by his sinking of BILLIONS of dollars into “green” money pits (controlled by his political supporters), our economy, as well as our national security, is being deliberately undermined by this president.

Go Newt. Calling them out on every WRONG statement and fudged data.

A SECDEF that would turn over the sovereign decisions to a corrupt and anti-American UN has no business being in our government. ARRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. WHo ARE these people?

That guy on the extreme left with his hand in his own pocket looks sorta like obama.

(If it was obama, he would have his hand in a taxpayer’s pocket.)

Fearless Newt is the only one that can take it to 0bama with conviction.
He also consistently offers solutions- he just doesn't whine about the other guy.

total employment in the U.S. remains nearly 1.7 million below where it was the month Obama took office, and more than 6 million below where it was at the best point in the Bush administration, in January 2008. http://www.factcheck.org/2012/01/the-state-of-obamas-facts/
