They're wrong because they have been deceived.

Christ also said the majority would be deceived. Looking at Obama's "fruits" (Abortion, separation of church and state, inability to find a church for his family to worship for 3 years) provides proof of Obama's heart for God and the deception of those who put their faith in him despite his Anti-Christian behavior.
Conservatives aren't smarter than lberals, our eyes have been open to the truth... sometimes after years of being deceived ourselves.
There are many ways to say "You're wrong" I've found that "you are deceived" says the same thing... without leaving a mark. Because I have to work with these people daily, I need to keep the lines of communication open for more discussion. As I said, the Obama photo shrines are disappearing, and I didn't rip all of them down myself (We have video security)

They're wrong because they have been deceived.
They were wrong because they were conceited.
They were wrong as they sought after the riches of the world and the recognition of men.

You're using deceit as a catch all when it was really the wrongful desires of their own hearts that earned them their rebuke.
And you're lying to yourself and others in the process. They had a choice not to do what they did and they did it anyway knowing that what they were doing was wrong.

Revelations 12:9 explains that the whole world will be deceived.
I don't believe anyone who professes an active belief in Jesus Christ while attending church weekly (or more) deliberately acts in a way that is contrary to Christ's teaching. It wouldn't make sense to continue the facade.
They have been deceived into believing that Christ desires that they have whatever they want without any effort or consequence. This is Satan's message. He is the great deceiver and father of lies. His is the path which leads to destruction. Those who are deceived don't know it because... they are deceived.

I simply can't take it at face value that you actually believe what you're saying.
In all of this you seem to forget that we have been given free will in all things and that free will gives everyone the ability to choose to do either right or wrong.

That chapter deals with a "time to come" and unless you believe that that time has actually come then you've just admitted that your whole argument is bogus.
So do you believe that the "time to come" mentioned in Revelations has arrived?
