SEATTLE (AP) -- The U.S. soldier suspected of gunning down at least 16 Afghan civilians was from a Washington state-based Stryker brigade and received his assignment to a village stability program less than six weeks ago.

Something is NOT right here...This in in my son’s AO. First off Panjwaii is the hands down worst area of Afghanistan...the ENTIRE place is Taliban. The place is littered with IED’s and booby traps! I cannot fathom how this soldier walked off of an SF COP without being noticed...does that make sense? If you could get out that easy that means someone could get in that easy! He walks a mile, gets by all of the dogs, hits THREE villages, stacks the bodies and then tries to burn them and walks back????? I hate to make light of it but really he sounds like a Ninja!
