I suppose that makes is slightly more important than the District of Columbia, where the GOP candidate cracked 20% exactly once-- 1972 and hasn't even cracked 10% since Bush I in 1988.
As long as there are old Pearl Harbor retired vets over there in the VA Hospital or at Tripler in Honolulu, in their 80s and 90s (a number of them just stayed on in Hawaii after experiencing that horrendous day), and they have the gumption to make it to the polls or vote absentee due to their deteriorating physical conditions, why I still will personally consider Hawaii as important. Of course, I don’t doubt the history that you mentioned. How will the vote in Hawaii go when Sheriff Joe finally gets the goods on Obongo and it comes out he was in fact born in a piss poor shed somewhere in rural Kenya. (Maybe I dont want to way “shed” — it is too close to a “manger”.)
