Its no big surprise that Hollywood liberals would band together in an Occupy History moment to try to rewrite the story of the 2008 presidential campaign. No surprise too that theyd cast Sarah Palin as the out-of-control villain who blew up John McCains campaign for the movie.
If you could buy liberals for how much they know and sell em for how much they dont know, you could make a large fortune. You might even make enough to fund the whole welfare state.
So it should shock no one that the HBO mockumentary Game Change is just another in a long list of hit pieces aimed by the progressive left at one of the most unique political figures of our time, Sarah Palin.
But what should shock and outrage you is that the veneer of credibility that allows Hollywoods latest bash-Sarah-scheme to thrive, is that it has been funded by contributions from conservatives just like you.
Love her or hate her- and I happen to love her- shes unique, in the same way that Harry Truman was, and even- gasp!- Abe Lincoln, another political figure mocked for not caring about the difference between a fish fork and a salad fork.
And like Lincoln, Palin has proven awfully cagey at the political arts, parlaying her 15 weeks of VP-ticket fame into a formidable, long-lasting industry.
And thats what really galls liberals. Left unchecked, they think, she might even become double gasp!- president of the United States.
Imagine if we allowed people like Sarah Palin, who have a whole lot of common sense and actually believe in the ideas of reform, to run our country and kicked out the Ivy League Baby Boomers trapped in their golden cage.
After all, elite progressives think that you need to be Harvard, Yale or Princeton-trained in order to most effectively squander the trillions of dollars that Obama-Bush have on various schemes- green schemes, jobs schemes, healthcare schemes, mortgage schemes, global warming schemes, foreign policy schemes- to as little effect as the political administrations who have killed the last decade of economic development.
And squandering money gives them the perfect excuse for asking for more money. Thats liberal politics practiced at the elite level, by both parties.
And in furtherance of their abuse of money, the funds that you and I donated out of our want to John McCain v.08 has been the logistical lifeline for those who have trashed Mrs. Palin the most.
Because the inside information in Game Change- and every other attack on Palin-was supplied by people who were paid by the McCain campaign to try to get John McCain and Sarah Palin elected. These were self-professed Bushies, who were, in fact, so insecure and so unsure of themselves that they always insisted on being described as Senior Policy Advisor to John McCain, like somehow the rest of us cared what they were called.
And they are the same people who are now describing Game Change as an out-of-body experience, or as true enough to make me squirm on every mainstream media outlet and every liberal blog they can find.
Nobody is more popular on the Huffington Post or MSNBC right now that those Bushies who screwed up the country by: 1) Screwing up the country in the first place and; 2) making sure Obama was elected in 2008 as a result of them screwing up the McCain campaign too.
Not 24 hours after Mrs. Palin changed an otherwise apathetic Republican National Convention in Minneapolis- where the locals were rude and the enthusiasm by delegates over the McCain candidacy was stunted- into an event of a lifetime, with her stunning and charming debut that enthralled delegates and TV audiences, these same McCain staffers were leaking fabricated and exaggerated information to the press about her.
And its un-freakin-believable that the rest of us picked up the tab for their malpractice.
Its painful for me to write about this, because I supported John McCain when practically no one else did.
Throughout 2007 and 2008 I was whole-heartedly a McCain guy- and often times the only McCain guy, because I believed then, and I think I have been proved correct, that McCain was the only candidate who could extricate the U.S. successfully from Iraq with the surge strategy he advocated.
And without the surge, Iraq may have become what Afghanistan has become for the U.S., a quagmire- only much, much bigger and more painful than Afghanistan.
The result would have been grave for both the U.S. and the GOP. The successful resolution to the Iraq problem before George Bush left office, has allowed the GOP to move on to other, more pressing domestic issues, like taxes and spending. For too long, Iraq took up all the resources of the party, and thats how conservatives lost control on spending.
So lets just say that in the intramural fight between Palin and the McBush staffers, I have pretty pure motives and the pedigree to prove it.
That makes me qualified, obligated and not a little pained to say this of John McCain, just as Benjamin Franklin observed of one of his contemporaries: In some ways McCain has been a good man; in all things he has been a brave man; but in some ways and in some things, John McCain is still absolutely out of his mind.
While I can forgive him many of his personal foibles- his monumental meltdown in the fall of 08, his disorganized and disinterested campaign, the creation of McCain-Feingold and other disastrous policies; yes I can forgive these things, but I can never forget that he allowed your generous campaign contributions to fund the continuing attack on Sarah Palin by people who worked for him.
And nor should you.
Dont forget, always remember and demand more from our candidates.
And if you have the time, please forward this to Mitt Romney as a cautionary tale for 2012.

From NewsBusters.org, June 9, 2009...
Seven months after Election Day, and the attacks on Sarah Palin keep coming.
On Monday, CBS's David Letterman on the "Late Show" shamelessly went after the Alaska governor and her family during his opening monologue, as well as in his "Top Ten" list.
Top Ten Highlights Of Sarah Palin's Trip To New York
10. Visited New York landmarks she normally only sees from Alaska
9. Laughed at all the crazy-looking foreigners entering the U.N.
8. Made moose jerky on Rachael Ray
7. Keyed Tina Fey's car
6. After a wink and a nod, ended up with a kilo of crack
5. Made coat out of New York City rat pelts
4. Sat in for Kelly Ripa. Regis couldn't tell the difference.
3. Finally met one of those Jewish people Mel Gibson's always talking about
2. Bought makeup from Bloomingdale's to update her "slutty flight attendant" look
1. Especially enjoyed not appearing on Letterman
"One awkward moment for Sarah Palin at the Yankee game, during the seventh inning, her daughter was knocked-up by Alex Rodriguez."

Sandra Bernhard issues 'gang rape' warning to Sarah Palin
BY TRACY MILLER
DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER
September 19th 2008
Sandra Bernhard issued a blistering warning to Sarah Palin during a performance of her new one-woman show.
The Republican V.P. nom would be "gang-raped by my big black brothers" if she enters Manhattan, Bernhard said. Palin is said to be making a campaign stop in New York next week.
"[The gang rape comment] is part of a much larger, nuanced, and yes, provocative (that's what I do) piece from my show about racism, freedom, women's rights and the extreme views of Governor Sarah Palin, a woman who doesn't believe that other women should have the right to choose," Bernhard told the Daily News today.

THAT, my FRiends, is *THE* reason they hate her.
Sarah not only rejects their “right” to murder gestate babies, she had the effrontery to demonstrate to them the value of life by allowing her own Down’s Syndrome baby to be born.
THAT, my FRiends, is what drives them into the blind, raging hatred they have for her.

The author of this is part of the problem with his rabid support of McCain. He should have stayed on message about Palin and spared us his McCain cheerleading.

Bill Maher Calls Sarah Palin The C-Word During His Stand-Up Act
Real Time host Bill Maher wasnt talking about energy efficient light bulbs when he used the term 2 watt in reference to Sarah Palin on his show, and he wasnt expressing a wish to see her next Tuesday during a weekend performance of his stand-up act. The late-night comic/political pundit often uses shocking language to cultivate an edgy persona, but his gender-based attacks on conservative women like Palin and Michele Bachmann threaten to alienate the many pro-vagina viewers in his audience.

Post any crap movie\tv show, or MSM “sports” on this forum and in a few minutes you’ll see 100+ posts of slobbering, drooling adulation.
Freepers pour millions of $$$’s into the Obama\MSM machine so they can sit in front of screens and be “entertained”.
Scratching their heads wondering why we lose elections only comes as an afterthought.

I’m enjoying watching the libs get high off Palin-hate this week.
It’s as if we have a couple of geniuses running the show right now.
I mean....THANK GOD we wound up with Biden right?
They are so funny, and they haven’t a clue how ridiculous they are.
To: Kaslin
One serious error, or omission if you prefer, is the description of Schmidt and Wallace as “Bushies”. They may have “self-professed” that, I don’t remember seeing it, but when they went to McCain they were undercover “Mittens”.
They deliberately sabotaged Palin, McCain and the 2008 election in order to keep Mitt Romney viable for 2012. They were terrified that an aged, poor-health President McCain, who might only serve one term would mean Palin would be a charismatic, unbeatable successor.
To: knarf
I’d modify that to “sell ‘em for how much they THINK they know”.
The main reason I despise liberals is their inherent arrogance.

Biden? Biden is the one with horse-sense. Obama is the One who decided to challenge the Catholic bishops for leadership of the Church, and right as he is running for re-election.

yup!
Did you see the article about Biden visiting the shrine at Guadalupe?
He started talking about his mother’s devotion to the Blessed Mother and got all choked up.
I shocked myself when I realized I felt sorry for him.
Anyways...my point being...all these libs high on anti-palin crack? Well....they just CAN’T BELIEVE someone so stupid almost became VP!!!! How crazy is that?
