Skip to comments.White House doormat: Obama tramples Constitution at every opportunity

When Barack Obama became president of the United States, he swore an oath to "preserve, protect and defend our Constitution." Unfortunately, evidence has accumulated ever since that he feels no obligation to honor his commitment.
In fact, Mr. Obama has been violating that oath, left and, well, left. Here are a few of the most egregious examples:
Under the president's health care legislation, now universally known as Obamacare, Americans are compelled to purchase health care. The constitutionality of this measure is being tested in court at this writing. But such a mandate smacks of big-government overreach that must be struck down by the Supreme Court.
Then, in January, there were Mr. Obama's "recess" appointments of several controversial nominees to positions requiring Senate confirmation. For the first time in the country's history, a president made such appointments when the Senate was not actually in recess.
On the basis of this precedent, Mr. Obama (or his successors) may choose to flout senators' constitutional prerogative even further - say by making recess appointments when the Senate breaks for lunch. Given the lack of outcry or meaningful push-back from senators to date, why not?

An Obituary printed in the London Times
Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
- Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
- Why the early bird gets the worm;
- Life isn’t always fair;
- and maybe it was my fault.
Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don’t spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).
His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.
Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.
It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.
Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.
Common Sense took a beating when you couldn’t defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.
Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.
Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his wife, Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son, Reason.
He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers;
I Know My Rights
I Want It Now
Someone Else Is To Blame
I’m A Victim
Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.
Back when Robert Byrd was a Senator, he used to claim that he carried a copy of the Constitution with him everywhere he went. I used to think, “Yeah, and after you return from the men’s room there’s a couple of pages missing.
It's called the Chicago way,blackmail,extortion,bribe...politicians are so corrupt they are expendable. Scandal breaking?....no problem, they just retire after raking in millions, pension for life, and then they become lobbyist, making more million playing the DC game
According to Panetta we don’t need Congress to declare war.
According to Obama he will just bypass Congress to get things done.
According to Justice Thomas the SCOTUS is avoiding Obama’s elligibility issue.
What makes you think we live in a sovereign republic anymore?
Just today, Neal Boortz played a tpe of 0bama in 2008 with George Stephanoplois:
0bama: “...McCain has never said anything about my Muslim faith..”
Steph: “You mean Christian faith”
0bama: “Uh, my Christian faith”
Those mistakes just don’t happen...
What do you expect from a angry blackman mentored by Wright, Bell, Farrakhan and the likes of their brother in arms, Muhammed Khalid?
Obama respresents everything wrong with the black man.
That ass Muhammed Khalid? Should have been focusing on the Muslims crackers who sold his kin into slavery. He should be focusing on the same muslims who still practice slavery in Africa, but then again, the illiterate hate monger doesn’t see it that way. Like Obama who thinks his religion, Islam, can do no wrong.
That bitter black man needs to vacate the peoples office.
Don’t know who to be more angry at congress or the courts.
We are suppose to have three equal branches of government and two seem to simply have gone and doing nothing.
I think because they are lazy and agree with complete government takeover.
I thought the same thing...when i read this..
