MOUNT STERLING, Ohio (AP) -- An Ohio officer whose use of a stun gun on a child resulted in the shutdown of a village police force said he shocked the boy twice as the 9-year-old lay on the floor with his hands underneath his body.
Details of the Mount Sterling incident released Monday say the boy was warned before the officer shocked him at his home last week following a truancy complaint from the sheriff's office.

Well, Hell, the cop should have just taken out his night stick and beat the living shit out of the kid. I mean, if an adult can’t outsmart a 9 year old then the kid deserves to be beat to death, right?

The old saying? Something like “As Ohio goes, so goes the nation?” There is a reason why our respective individual police forces keep ending up with stories like this one. It tells me that you cannot trust them unless you know them, personally.
There is something seriously wrong with the hiring practices of police forces around this nation.

I don’t believe the cop’s story. The boy is either not 9 or he is not 5’5”-5’8”and 200-250 lbs. Cops are out of control. What about the suburban woman being tasered in front of her children because she hesitated to lie down on the pavement during a stop for a busted taillight? I would hesitate too because it would seem so ridiculous, so I could get tasered for not being in such deadly fear of a cop that I didn’t jump to do whatever he asked however outlandish it seemed. Whatever happened to the rights of the individual? I don’t lie on the pavement for anyone unless I am there to help someone that’s injured.

Try making him learn once there or even worse stop him from creating classroom disturbances once you get him to school. It might be better for the others when he is truant.
Do I know a 9-yr-old child is not a punk? You're the one who made an assertion, it's up to you to substantiate it or source it as emission from your tail pipe.
By the way, a typical nine-year-old is just learning 6+5=11. He can't tie his shoes or read a clock face.
If I were a cop I would tell the boy I’m arresting his mother, and removing all food and toys from the house as evidence, and shutting off the phone, electric and water.
If he has a father, then after telling him all that, I would tell him to explain everything to his father when the man gets home, and if the father beats the LS out of him, the judge will be on Dad’s side.
This gives the boy a lot to think about. He may opt for protective custody downtown.
