Simple. Only Newt is allowed to make fun of Obama and his teleprompter, because only Newt is smart enough.

“It doesn’t matter what I do. People need to hear what I have to say. There’s no one else who can say what I can say. It doesn’t mater what I live.” - Newton Leroy Gingrich.

we at least deserve a disclaimer, and the name of whoever wrote the word totus is feeding to potus

“crazy Rick” elevates the obviously painful reality that obama cant talk to 5th graders without a teleprompter

Just like this thread, where Michelle Bachmann promised $2 gas. She was ridiculed because only Newt is allowed to make promises like that because he is so damn smart. Forget he also supports ethanol (cough).

Obama has looked horrible on those occasions when a teleprompter he expects to function has failed.

However, the truth is that he was still pretty good in his debates with McCain, without a teleprompter. I thought he'd fall on his face, but he didn't. He may not be able to give a full speech from memory, but he's generally not bad when answering questions on his feet.

I can't stand the guy, but we shouldn't underestimate him either.

Exactly cc. A few note cards is all the good ones ever needed. I still remember a couple years ago on FR there were pics of Obama with double teleprompters set up at a school where he went to visit fourth graders. Come to think of it, that’s how he speaks to all of us anyway.

I guess those for Obama would be rather disgusted at him losing his teleprompter.

McCain makes anyone look good in a debate.

Obama doesn’t give speeches, he gives lectures on how bad we’ve been.

Seriously people? How the hell can you even THINK this wasn’t a joke aimed at Obama? Get real.

I just watched that video and it didn't sound like he was making a joke at all. Santorum sounded completely serious about his idea to ban presidential candidates from using teleprompters.

As it was such a stupid thing to say, I am sure Rick will now claim he was joking - but watching that video, I don't think he was.

Might as well make teleprompters illegal since Obama is.

I love the idea although I would have preferred he requested all candidates to voluntarily stop using them. Also get the same agreement for the two eventual candidates.

If O is so smart, why does he need a TOTUS?

Guggenheim, the director of the latest O documentary, said he was the most perfect person (paraphrased) he’s ever met. I hope he wipes his chin.

What next? Should we make wearing pants illegal, too?

I know! Let’s criminalize farting!

Boy Howdy! That's a fact.

He is getting so desperate, he thinks he is making the public believe he is superior to Obama because he does not use one.....Which he thinks is some amazing attribute. But Newt used that line first, and actually entertained people when he did.

Oh Come on. If you can’t see the humor in what he said then I just don’t know what to say. The MSM is trying to turn it against Rick, and you fell for it hook line and sinker.

Now ask yourself how much material out their does the MSM have the opportunity to go after O on. But notice that no matter what O does then they have nothing bad to say.

You need to stop posting that quote from Newt’s ex-wife, who appeared on ABC telling all sorts of lies about Newt, and Newt refused to say anything bad about her.

Typical conduct of a Santorum supporters. Give your quotes attribution, and if Newt didn’t say them, link to the source detailing who is saying it about him second or thirdhand. After you do that, grow up.
