Up to 20 million birds die each year from lead poisoning after consuming spent lead shot and bullet fragments left in the wild from hunting.A complete lie.

If the EPA is stupid enough to touch that third rail, anything they come up with is open to get pelted from every direction by challenges under the Information Quality Act (aka the Data Quality Act). If they take a position, let them prove it for the junk that it is, point by point by point.

We can sit down and have a rational discussion about this when they quit making bird chowder with the windmills—and not until.

Background Lead has been known to be highly toxic for more than 2,000 years. Its use in water pipes, cosmetics, pottery and food is suspected to have been a contributing factor in the collapse of the Roman Empire.Let's see....we can add currency collapsing, moral decay, concentration of power in a single (deified) ruler, and the inability to defend a far-flung empire. I seriously it was on account of a few dead birds, no matter what killed them.
(Keep in mind, though, there is likely still lead plumbing in Washington D.C....)
