Axelrod bails on Bill Maher

David Axelrod will not be appearing as a guest on “Real Time with Bill Maher,” despite reports last week that he was scheduled to do the show in the next few weeks.

“He's not scheduled to go on at this time,” said Ben LaBolt, the press secretary for President Obama’s reelection campaign.

Maher, who donated $1 million to the pro-Obama super PAC Priorities USA, has increasingly become a target of right-wing attacks over the last week in response to the left’s attacks on Rush Limbaugh. Maher has come under fire for calling Sarah Palin a “****” during his stand-up act and a “dumb t***” on his HBO show, among other sexist comments.

Axelrod has used the Limbaugh affair to attack Mitt Romney, slamming him for having “essentially refused to comment on what was a really egregious set of comments by Limbaugh” and saying “he’s afraid to challenge a guy who’s the de-facto head of his party.”

I think when the turd got those polls today that showed his campaign to shift focus onto anything but the economy failed. Worse, they did not get the turn out they expected by wymyn over the contraception issue. Axelrod was to go on the show to keep the drums beating but got yanked because they know it is a loser now and need to shift onto another windmill.

Don’t fret for the effeminate Maher, he will reach out for some other slim ball to appear in Axelrod’s slot. Maybe his lonsman BOR will make an appearance.

While the Palin comments are comparable in some way, the more recent Alexandra Pelosi film which makes poor people is worse, IMO. Palin is a public figure who ran for VP. Attacking poor people in a “documentary” is MUCH worse.

All the Bill Maher apologists, such as Sen. Schumer, keep telling us that Bill Maher and his ilk can't be compared Rush Limbaugh. Therefore it should be perfectly fine for Axelrod to appear on Maher's show.

The fact of the matter is that it is only now that some members Dem leadership appear to understand how ill conceived their war against Rush and other conservative talk show hosts really is. Liberal Dem's such Maher, Letterman, Louis C.K. John Stewart, Mike Malloy, etc. constantly make remarks directed against conservatives that are far, far more offensive than anything Rush or any other conservative talk show host has ever said.

Do the Liberals really want to go down the road of depriving Rush his "free speech"?? I guess some of the real fascist liberals would, but they better rethink that. The liberal certainly cannot live under the standards that they would like to impose on others.
