The controversy over requiring voters to provide photo IDs has reached the world stage.

The United Nations Human Rights Council is investigating the issue of American election laws at its gathering on minority rights in Geneva, Switzerland.. This, despite the fact that some members of the council have only in the past several years allowed women to vote, and one member, Saudi Arabia, still bars women from the voting booth completely.

Officials from the NAACP are presenting their case against U.S. voter ID laws, arguing to the international diplomats that the requirements disenfranchise voters and suppress the minority vote.

The UN was OK with the purple thumbs in Iraq.

In a sane America, the NAACP would at least lose its tax exempt status over this outright assault on our national sovereignty.

The U.N. Human Rights Council members include communist China and Cuba

Just think, without those pesky voter ID laws, we could have 98% majorities for the ruling party, just like they do!

And how appropriate that the UN was once lead by a Nazi, Kurt Waldheim.

In a sane America, the NAACP officials would be jailed for violating the Logan Act.

I guess they have already solved the problems of world hunger and governments slaughtering their own people. Time to work on something important.

Here is part of what is so annoying about this: This tells you that the current 0bama administration actually thinks that we, the people, think the UN is relevant, effective, and/or important. Talk about, out of touch!

That’s because the UN wrote the Iraqi constitution. It is not based on the US Constitution, even though we were the victors.

The Bush administration allowed the UN to push a ‘power-sharing’ parliamentary government which effectively keeps the country governmentmentally unstable.

It is, without having been declared it, a UN protectorate.

Remember the oil embargo? Whenever a ship was caught bringing out oil from Iraq, the UN got the money from the oil. It was a huge kofi ananan scandal. The UN is much more powerful than Americans will allow, if and when we act against Syria and Iran, our State Department has already deferred all actions and permissions to act to the UN. That’s what Hillary has been doing lately.

The federal government doesn’t agree with you ,especially the two people who can do the most damage, Obama with executive order and Hillary with the State Department.

May I remind you that GW Bush invited the ‘human rights council’ to oversee the Katrina relief effort in 2005? They were given offices in Georgia, and I think Texas too.

Don’t forge that Mr. Bush also invited the Mexican Marines into Louisiana as well, although I’m not sure why he thought they were needed. I think it was a NAU thing.

Spend a summer weekend in the Thumb of Michigan, where you can watch a Blue Helmet Shoot with your own eyes. It will restore your faith in this country.
