George W. Bush Says Keystone Pipeline Is a 'No-Brainer’

TransCanada Corp.’s Keystone XL pipeline, which would carry oil from landlocked Alberta to the U.S. Gulf Coast, is a “no-brainer” that would create jobs and bolster the economy, former President George W. Bush said on Tuesday.

The $7.6 billion Keystone XL line would generate private-sector employment and government revenue, he said at an American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers conference in San Diego. The U.S. government’s budget deficit is unsustainable and must be reduced by supporting industry, Bush said.

“The clear goal ought to be how to get the private sector to grow,” said Bush, who spoke during a luncheon at the conference. “If you say that, then an issue like the Keystone pipeline becomes an easy issue.”

He [Bush] does not and cannot see Barak Obama for what he is.
We are talking about the man who presided over the imprisonment of Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean.

I will never forgive him for that.

I know, it's a small thing compared to his inability to understand "Obama's determination to deprive America of energy until he starves and breaks the country". But to me, that incident with Ramos and Compean defined the absolute and total obtuseness of President George W Bush.

He has an amazing an frightening ability to be absolutely oblivious to the truth.

Can't drop the emotional disorder ... no matter how disconnected from the subject of the thread ...

I see BDS (shoulda, coulda, woulda, must be THE one perfect human mentality) syndromes are still roiling and alive.

Pathetic, especially with the devout, out and out enemy appeasing anti-American, anti-life, anti-religion, anti-freedom evil tyrant and despot at our White House who's doing everything he can to destroy this country and her values, citizen wealth and security .. as opposed to Pres. Bush, who always honored the Office, worked relentlessly to keep us safe (that includes YOU), and always demonstrated and acted with nothing but respect, honor and duty to his presidential responsibilities, guarding the sanctity of life within his power to do, and SO many issues, including and not the least: his total respect and support for our beloved military, in contrast with the utter despicable, abusive disregard and lack of any basic humanity exhibited by the current (R)esident.

Oh yes, I do !! You betcha !! Every single day!

And the same to any others who decide to jump in to moan and complain from your BDS dark pit of negativity.

Whereas Obamba gets a solid “F-” Bush gets a “C-” Had Bush stayed away from the squishy social stuff including AMNESTY! he would have probably ended up with a “B+”

I miss Ronald Reagan. I lived through his administration and know what he did. Dubya, not much. Mostly known for what he should have done but didn't.

Here is the way it works :

An article says GW Bush was seen by 5000 sober individuals ascending into heaven and that the gates of Heaven were opened and angels sang on high,

Freepers then read the article and comment how they hated Bush because he didnr do enough about the Mexican border.

I get angry because the Bush family so many times has honored the Clintons and even the Obamas and legitimatized them and undercut every effort conservatives mounted to expose the left for what it is. Bush honored Teddy Kennedy in the White House and his family did more than any other family in America to rehabilitate Bill Clinton.

Yep! Another critical failure for 'W' was his inability to replace Dick Cheyney as VP after his first term. Had he done so we might have an 'heir apparent' and we might have been spared the Obama presidency. He could have kept Cheyney in another capacity.

It took Reagan 20 years to become a conservative saint... before that he was hated by people just like you

Yep, it proves I don’t care for when Republicans behave like Democrat lite.
If President [fill in the blank] tries to pass Amnesty I will “bash” him, too.
Anyhow, I like G.W.B. Voted for him twice. If that makes you feel any better.

Yep .. watch all the “yeah, but” terminal BDS, lost-in-yesterdays, perfection hypocrites jump in.

For all the sane, non-lost-in-BDS, and emotionally disordered .. for the folks who have mature perspective, working memories and reasoning, I think it’s the first time I recall him making ANY statement about ANY political issue publicly since he left office, and he’s been very consistent that he would NOT be dragged into or enter the political fray; therefore, for him to publicly speak this way: I think it says a lot.

You have me confused with someone else....I never hated Reagan AND I never hated Bush ....but your comments about Bush make me think your memory might not be so hot. Historians at this point think Bush did too much......someone needs to tell them that you think he didnt do enough
