George W. Bush Says Keystone Pipeline Is a 'No-Brainer’

TransCanada Corp.’s Keystone XL pipeline, which would carry oil from landlocked Alberta to the U.S. Gulf Coast, is a “no-brainer” that would create jobs and bolster the economy, former President George W. Bush said on Tuesday.

The $7.6 billion Keystone XL line would generate private-sector employment and government revenue, he said at an American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers conference in San Diego. The U.S. government’s budget deficit is unsustainable and must be reduced by supporting industry, Bush said.

“The clear goal ought to be how to get the private sector to grow,” said Bush, who spoke during a luncheon at the conference. “If you say that, then an issue like the Keystone pipeline becomes an easy issue.”

“No brainer”. That’s why this President won’t approve of it. “No brains.”

But killing the pipeline as a way to promote the leftist agenda of a poverty-stricken, powerless nation is also a no-brainer... if you have a leftist agenda.

The question really isn’t one of brains so much as it is of agenda.

George W Bush, for all his faults (and they are/were numerous), has/had an agenda of a strong and healthy USA.

The Muslim In Chief has an opposite agenda.

When the producers of this country decide to allow the people who have been living off the fat of the land to suffer some real pain, and not be able to afford goodies; well, only then will things change.

Just commenting that a pipeline is a no-brainer isn’t going to do the trick. You are right, the men of this country are a stricken, powerless lot.

By blocking the pipeline, Obama gets campaign contribution from enviornmentalists AND industry. The decision to block the pipeline has nothing to do with our economy. ... It’s the election stupid.

Everything George Bush said is true so why do I have a visceral, irrational angry reaction when I read his words? Why is my anger not directed at Barack Obama?

Because it seems that George Bush still does not get it. He does not understand that he is not playing a gentleman's game. He does not and cannot see Barak Obama for what he is. Bush does not get that Keystone pipeline is a symbol for Obama's determination to deprive America of energy until he starves and breaks the country.

I get angry because the Bush family so many times has honored the Clintons and even the Obamas and legitimatized them and undercut every effort conservatives mounted to expose the left for what it is. Bush honored Teddy Kennedy in the White House and his family did more than any other family in America to rehabilitate Bill Clinton.

The Keystone pipeline rejection and the throttling of drilling for oil and gas everywhere on the continent where the president's writ would run is a threat to preservation of the nation as a world economic and military power. It is not a no-brainer, it is malevolent.

Yep, Mr Bush, it’s a little late now. Stay down on the Ranch and keep quiet. Or go up and yuck it up with the evil bastard in the Oval Office like your dad and brother Jeb did in January.

Bush has been a let-down as an ex-president.

But then, he was a let-down as a president.

Well golly gee, George, maybe if you’d rescinded your idiot father’s executive order on offshore drilling in your first three months in office instead of your last three, we might be better off today. You were no conservative when it came to energy!

There's no doubt that President George W. Bush was a committed Christian and truly loved America. Neither of those can be said for Obama.

Well...faults and all...YES I DO!

..and here's just one of the many reasons why President Bush was far, far better than the fool now residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue:
