As much as this would make sense, I’m sure that the Muzzies will exploit this. Profiling is a necessity.

The Orlando Sanford International Airport is among the top 30 highest volume airports in the world, and now that congress has said airports can opt out of using TSA screeners, and use private screeners instead, this could result in a stampede by other major airports to escape the TSA.

For its part, the TSA is seeing an increasing number of existential threats to its existence, and so is desperately trying to come up with ways to both justify itself as a huge bureaucracy, as well as silence its critics, by whatever means possible.

Whoever the next Republican president, he needs to come down on the TSA—hard.

This under 12 thing is bogus. My grandson gets pulled over every single time he goes through security, he is now 8 and first time he flew he was 18 months.
He can read the signs and this last month asked them why he was being pulled over because he wasn’t 12 yet.
They told him it was random. suuurrreeee

Let’s telegraph to the world exactly what our security profiling consists of and who is exempt so the terrorists can exploit it. Who is the genius behind this

Sometimes, you make an INTERNAL announcement; and for the safety of all - you freakin’ keep it internal. We have just announced that one of the busiest airports in the USA will bypass checking the elderly.

Now, if you are a bloodthirsty jihadi - how do you suppose you are going to get your equipment through security? If you are running drugs, and want your supply to make it through security without a pat-down, what are you going to do?

How about silently make these changes? No need to announce it through AP.

Get rid of the TSA. Until the TSA is gone it won’t natter if they exude the elderly or not. They have failed to stop every threat that got on to a plane, only alert passengers stopped these incidents. All they do is expose people to radiation and grope them for the fun of it.

TSA to be Evicted from Major U.S. Airport
Filed under
Constitution, Government, National Security

One of America’s busiest airports, Orlando Sanford International, has announced it will opt out of using TSA workers to screen passengers, a move which threatens the highly unpopular federal agency’s role in other airports across the nation.

“The president of the airport said Tuesday that he would apply again to use private operators to screen passengers, using federal standards and oversight,” reports the Miami Herald.

With Sanford International having originally been prevented by the TSA from opting out back in November 2010 when the federal agency froze the ability for airports to use their own private screeners,a law passed by the Senate last month forces the TSA to reconsider applications.
