“There’s a Few Places We’re Not Drilling… The National Mall… At Your House” (Video)

So sad. Barack plays comedian and cracks jokes about gas prices. He told an audience today that there’s “a few places” we’re not drilling… the National Mall… at your house.” HapBlog reported:

Of course, like most everything Obama says, a quick Google search paints a totally different picture of the truth. Investor’s reported:

Obama has chosen almost always to limit production. He canceled leases on federal lands in Utah, suspended them in Montana, delayed them in Colorado and Utah, and canceled lease sales off the Virginia coast.

His administration also has been slow-walking permits in the Gulf of Mexico, approving far fewer while stretching out review times, according to the Greater New Orleans Gulf Permit Index. The Energy Dept. says Gulf oil output will be down 17% by the end of 2013, compared with the start of 2011. Swift Energy President Bruce Vincent is right to say Obama has “done nothing but restrict access and delay permitting.”

“The U.S. consumes more than a fifth of the world’s oil. But we only have 2% of the world’s oil reserves.”

And just two days ago Democrats blocked ANWR and the Keystone Pipeline.

If Obama really wanted laughs with his leftist audience he stick with the c-nt jokes.

I stirred them up at a local anti drilling whine fest when I said they can drill on my half acre.

In 1953 gas was 25 cents a gallon- But a quarter in 1953 was pure silver.
Now funny money printed by the govt ain`t worth anything much compared to 1953, so the more funny money the govt prints, the higher the gas price goes.

I think Obama genuinedly cares about our planet...especially the parts he likes to vacation.
The people on it not so much.
I think deep down in Obama’s psyche he wishes his mother would have aborted him.
Now, in some twisted way he is getting even.
Hopefully, soon he will be taking a realllll long vacation.

There's a lot to that...if you look at the long term price of oil compared to gold....they track almost perfectly.

The more this jackass opens his mouth, the more amazed I am so many people were misled enough to elect such an immature person president.

Obama has lied all his life and living in the WH has only increased his prevarications.

Now as President of the United States of America he jokes about the high price of fossil fuel energy and lies about his responsibility for those high prices.

Pathetic!

Wrong. "Hapblog" is a piece of garbage blog pimped by "talkradio03".

http://www.freerepublic.com/~talkradio03/

It doesn't "report" anything. Just re-posts stuff looking for hits.

Fact is, Limbaugh made that statement today.

How the hell do you justify that garbage blog as the source of that quote?

Barry needs to knock this kind of crap off. America really isn’t in the mood for comedians right now. He should save his dumbass jokes for the fools that show up at his “state dinner” fundraisers.

The quarter was only 90% pure. And today a silver quarter will buy about 1.5 gallons of gas.

We can't drill our way out of an oil shortage.
We certainly can, if you let us drill where we know the oil is!.

We have 2% of the proven oil reserves, yet we...
Of course doofus! We have drilled hundreds of sites in the USA, found oil, then were ordered to suspend drilling, or leases canceled, before the extent (quantity) of the oil field could be determined, so it's not part of the "proven reserves!"

Yes, we can drill ourselves closer to energy independence (while we wait for your algae). Any one who claims differently doesn't know what he's talking about!

The quarter was only 90% pure.

With E10 (10% ethanol), so's your gas.

There is no oil shortage.

It's the dependency stupid.

We have to import crude that we could get here...which would produce jobs....good paying jobs...at the same time.

I laughed when I heard him say...”not at your house”!
Yes, they are drilling for natural gas...well not AT my house but I can see the rig from my house!! LOL! It won’t be long before there will be drilling on the mountain behind my house too! So I guess you could say it’s “in my back yard”! (I just wish I owned the land it’s being drilled on.)

Thus 4 dollars worth of silver quarters [90%] would buy 16 x 1.5= 24 gallons of gas wow.

“The U.S. consumes more than a fifth of the world’s oil. But we only have 2% of the world’s oil reserves.”

Isn’t this an apples and oranges comparison? What does one have to do with the other?

We could be consuming a fifth of the world’s annual oil production right now, however, only a small fraction of the world’s total oil reserves are pumped each year.

And these are the known reserves, I assume. If we get into more exploration, we may find that we have more reserves than we think.

Can anybody help me out? What am I missing? How is it significant that we consume a fifth of the world’s oil production while having only 2% of known oil reserves? How are these two factoids from the president connnected? What conclusion are we supposed to draw? That we all need windmills and ocean wave plants and solar panels, because oil production will never amount to anything for our energy needs???

Why drill where there's no oil.

What about the Gulf of Mexico?

I know. Its just that I cannot spend so much time every day thinking of new ways to describe the depths of my contempt for him. It has just been one steady torrent of information about who he is and what he is trying to do to this country every day since he emerged on the national scene: he is a lying, phony, arrogant, vicious, hateful, petulant, hypocritical, pandering, deceptive, craven, brazen, backstabbing bastard and HE IS DESTROYING MY BELOVED COUNTRY, DAMMIT! Yes, that’s how I really feel, but I could spend all day doing it and I have to try to make a living and be a husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend.
