Ronald Kessler reporting from Washington, D.C. By now, we are used to Attorney General Eric Holder Jr.s nonsensical testimony to Congress.
Holder testified that he opposed Arizonas illegal immigration legislation but had not read the new law.
Holder testified that he believes the CIAs enhanced interrogation methods such as waterboarding constitute torture, but he said he had not read the classified reports detailing what those techniques entail.
After reopening Justice Department investigations into the CIAs use of enhanced interrogation, Holder said that he had not read the memos of his own departments lawyers explaining why no criminal laws had been violated.
Holder then gave misleading testimony on when he knew about problems with the Fast and Furious operation.
Last week, Holder testified that he found newspaper reports of the New York City Police Departments surveillance of Muslims in New Jersey disturbing, and he launched a review by the Justice Department.
Now he is challenging a Texas law requiring those who vote to show photo identification. Thirty-four states already have such laws or are considering them, and the U.S. Supreme Court has upheld the constitutionality of one such law passed by the state of Indiana.
Anyone who has needed a photo I.D. to buy beer, enter a public building, rent a movie, board a plane, open a bank account, or check into a motel knows how absurd it is to object to showing identification to vote. After all that is what he is. Just another affirmative action token job holder. Incompetence is their benchmark.
Holder is exactly what Obama wants. An idiot that will stand between him and the blame should the SHTF.Obama wants plausible deniability. That is Hoilders reason for being.
Exaclty right. Holder will do Obama's bidding for him by ignoring or outright breaking existing law. They should both be in the Graybar Hotel but it won't happen, they're entitled.
Kessler's observations should be posted on many sites, and distributed as widely as possible to opinion makers across America who recognize how such abuse of power threatens liberty. Further, the lack of scholarship on the part of the Attorney General is appalling, as it regards his oversight--unless he is misrepresenting his level of knowledge of facts.
This DOJ and its head, under the President, is systematically instituting what amounts to "rule of men," as opposed to the Founders' idea of "rule of law," under the Constitution they are sworn to uphold.
Holder is a guided tool and totally asocial (unless you happen to be one of “his” people. Whatever Obama says will get done even if it means him being prosecuted - unfortunatley, we have no “leaders” of strong enough moral character to take the necessary action.
