Thousands on the rolls after death, creating potential for fraud
Woodwick Street was quiet -- with a few residents working in their yards and adding to post-storm brush piles at the curb -- when Texas Watchdog visited on a recent Saturday to try to find Harris County voter Linda K. Hill.
"I'm sorry, but she passed on two years ago," said a mustached man wearing a Dallas Cowboys baseball cap and driving a motorized chair down the street. He was Linda Hill's husband, Henderson Hill Jr.
Linda Kay Hill, a homemaker and Louisiana native, died Aug. 2, 2006, of a heart attack, her husband recalled, and is buried at Houston Memorial Gardens in Pearland. But Harris County voter records indicate she - or someone using her identity - cast a ballot in the November election that year. Linda Hill of Woodwick Street voted in person on Election Day, records show.
She is among the more than 4,000 people whose names are listed both on Harris County's voter rolls and also in a federal database of death records, a Texas Watchdog analysis has found.

Yes, it has happened.
And it is true that George Pharr arranged for Lyndon Johnson to be elected to the U.S. Senate by voting the graveyard in alphabetical order. Did so in box #13 in Duval County TX.
Yes, the Dems are artist at such types of crime. Yes, it is time for it to stop.
The future of the nation and possibly the remainder of the “Free World” depends on it.
Your last sentence is not hyperbole; we are at a dire crossroads.
Good post. The Dems/liberals will deny that any of this ever happened and will do so until their dead names remain on the voter rolls and are then used to “augment” the vote. Unless this is prohibited by proper, verifiable ID there will never be an end to it.
Here is the story in great detail:
George Parr inherited his father’s political dynasty

I agree. Here in New Mexico One can get a Drivers License and register to vote as a nobody. Is that racist?
Yes, indeed we are.
Does this make the US the envy of the rest of the world, or its laughingstock? Except it’s hard to laugh when you’re a country that you thought the US was going to be a friend to through thick and thin, and then find that one of these bogusly elected presidents is selling you out.
There is a story that I will tell here. My father-in-law was a German, and came to pass back about twelve years ago in a German hospital. He died on a early Friday morning. My wife and the mother-in-law went into the hospital around noon, to pick up the effects, sign papers, and have the body released to the funeral company.
The hospital would not release the body, until a stamped form was accomplished and returned from the local city hall....saying he was actually dead. The death certificate from the hospital required the city hall to accomplish around a dozen things. One of these was a notification letter to the state tax office. One went to the government social office (to stop any payments to him, if he was on welfare). And one form went to the voting registration office of the city. Until the stamped form came back from city hall...his body wasn’t released.
Well...it was not until Monday that it finally came back, and the funeral home didn’t pick up the body until mid-afternoon on Monday.
I can proudly say, that dead folks just don’t vote in Germany, unless they do it in the morning, and pass away after coming home from the polling station. That’s the only way a dead guy could vote in Germany.
My humble opinion is that 100k dead people vote every four years, and no really cares. We don’t know if the overwhelming number of dead folks are Republican or Democrat.
My suggestion here...some college kid needs to put together a plain B&W video campaign video....to get the dead vote out in each state. If we could just get another 50k dead Republicans to come out....it might swing the vote. Call it the zombie strategy or whatever....but every vote counts...even dead votes.
That might work in Germany where people are still embarrassed to do something “improper.” Here, it would end up with hospitals getting stuck with thousands of unclaimed bodies a month.
Thanks for that post, pepsionice. I spent four years in Germany back in the seventies and am well aware of how thorough they are. Sadly, though, I seriously doubt that the people of this country will ever emulate their thoroughness.
The posted story may be old, but unless measures are taken by the GOP to minimize their fraud and cheating at the polls, we could get a repeat of the '08 results.

Um, I'd wager a years salary on an answer.
James O'Keefe of Project Veritas has done just that -- to expose them, not to vote for them. And he's being harrassed for his work. O'Keefe has run his expose in Minnesota, Vermont, and New hampshire.
If there’s any voter fraud at all in Houston, just imagine what it’s like in Chicago, Madison, Trenton and NYC.
LOL.... That pic is hilarious.
didn’t the warehouse where the voting machines were housed BURN in 2010 prior to the mid-terms? LOTS of fraud was claimed in 2008 - even to the point that Dems were complaining they couldn’t vote in the primary for Hillary.
TRUETHEVOTE.org - volunteer to be a poll-watcher!
With the computer systems we have today it should be no big chore to have a program to notify the County Registrar of Voters when a death occurs. Thus the name could be cross checked against the voter roles and deleted and that would stop the mailing of the voter registration card ever two years.
The major problem with many counties as I see it is they don’t purged their voter roles in any systematic manner.
