Thanks for the particulars. Yep, they can even do what
Stalin did and starve large segments of the population.
I wonder how many orgasms Obama had while he was signing this...
In my naivete I have wondered what happens if you are drafted or "compelled to work" but refuse. OK, you are picked up, taken to the rock camp and told to break rocks. You refuse. Then they start water boarding you or what?
Presumably that’s when the NDAA comes into play, and they send you off to the Gulag as an enemy of state, never to be heard from again.
Late Friday dump ping.
“The Disappeared” in Latin America.
Wow! I'm sure I heard somewhere that George Washington fought a war over this type of thing.
I halfway expect that.
An EO has force of law, by "a civilian defense force that should be larger and more powerful than the military", until rescinded by Congress. Good luck getting it past the Senate. Then The Kenyan would veto it.
It would take 2/3 in both houses unless a Pres agrees to sign.
Here’s your Civilian Military Force (Brown Shirts?)
PART V - EMPLOYMENT OF PERSONNEL
Sec. 501. National Defense Executive Reserve. (a) In accordance with section 710(e) of the Act, 50 U.S.C. App. 2160(e), there is established in the executive branch a National Defense Executive Reserve (NDER) composed of persons of recognized expertise from various segments of the private sector and from Government (except full time Federal employees) for training for employment in executive positions in the Federal Government in the event of a national defense emergency.
(b) The Secretary of Homeland Security shall issue necessary guidance for the NDER program, including appropriate guidance for establishment, recruitment, training, monitoring, and activation of NDER units and shall be responsible for the overall coordination of the NDER program. The authority of the President under section 710(e) of the Act, 50 U.S.C. App. 2160(e), to determine periods of national defense emergency is delegated to the Secretary of Homeland Security.
The first time I read that, I interpreted “executive” to mean something like a C-level or other senior management position. But, re-reading it, I see it is called the “Executive Reserve” presumably referring to the Executive Branch, and thus “executive positions” might just be an obfuscating term for positions in the executive branch, at any level.
No wonder gun sales are up...
I sure hope there are generals out there somewhere for our side..
“activation of NDER units”
Using the term “units” is a huge red flag to me.
No, no. Brown Shirts were SA (Röhm), wiped out by the SS (Himmler) in Night of the Long Knives.
National Defense Executive Reserve - the executive/party personal body guards - Waffen SS.
Thirty-eight divisions should eventually do it.
An “I SO need to read this later” ping.
I offered this up in more detail about a year ago, and one particular FREEPER told me I was wearing a tinfoil hat. Going to find that post and send him a copy of the E.O. in Freep Mail and ask him what he thinks, now. But, before I do, I'm sending it to my two RINO Senators and lazy-ass Congressman, who threw the Tea Party (who elected him in a huge sweep) under the bus as soon as he got a comfy office in DC. (It's everyone's understanding that his wife runs the office and tells him what to say and do. Think he's on his third complete staff turn-over right now.) I will also be calling them Monday and Tuesday, should they even decide to show up for "work". Just an e-mail gets you added to the LATEST campaign contribution mailer list and a form letter saying how much he has done for ME. >>>> V-O-M-I-T <<<<
I too would not be surprised by some move like that.
Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.
“If they think they need you, they can compel you to work for the government for nothing.”
I guess whoever drafted this has never been a parent. Good luck with that!
