Whistleblower Lawsuit: Planned Parenthood in Texas Filed Millions in Fraudulent Medicaid Claims
Breitbart ^ | March 15, 2012 | Dr. Susan Berry

A federal whistleblower lawsuit has been filed against Planned Parenthood of Houston and Southeast Texas, now known as Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, charging the provider of abortion services with fraudulent Medicaid claims in the amount of nearly $6 million.

The lawsuit, filed by the Alliance Defense Fund (ADF), on behalf of former Planned Parenthood clinic director, Abby Johnson, accused Planned Parenthood of submitting over 87,000 "false, fraudulent, or ineligible claims for Medicaid reimbursements” under Title XIX, in association with the Texas Women’s Health Program.

The Medicaid claims, filed between 2007 and 2009, were valued at more than $5.7 million. The lawsuit alleges that Planned Parenthood knowingly committed Medicaid fraud by “improperly seeking reimbursements from the Texas Women’s Health Program for products and services not reimbursable by that program.”

Who cares. It taxpayers money anyway and it is for a good cause. /sarc

There is an unlimited source of money and if not just pile it on to the already growing debt. Who cares, WE don't have to pay for it. /sarc

The announcement of the lawsuit came as the Obama administration also revealed that federal funding would no longer be granted to the Texas Women’s Health Program because the state now bans affiliates of entities, such as Planned Parenthood, that perform or promote elective abortions, from participating in the Medicaid program.

Texas does the right thing and then gets the shaft by Obama.

They can use Obama's stash to pay the damages when they lose.

All well and good, slam these libtards, but what about the murderous slaughter of babies...how is it they fail to see the crime in this.

Abortionists have always been above the law. I remember a local TV station calling dozens and dozens and pretending to be an underage girl impregnated by an older man.

I think all but one abortionist was willing to violate the law.

Holder will claim it was just an isolated incident.
The abortions were probably mostly hispanics and blacks.

Basically Washington Thinks it has more right to run Texas than the People of Texas.

Giving any Federal tax dollars to any State or local government for anything but militia should be forbidden.
Militia funding should be on a per-man basis only.

All interstate roads should shift to being toll roads setup and managed either by private enterprises the State sells the roads to or in liberal states by the State itself. Accordingly the Federal & State Gas Tax should be abolished being no need for it.

We have the technology, we have the licence plates, we have the databases every state can implement their part of the interstate user-fee road system.

Of course not it would blow the top off the desired leftist narrative being about how Texas is cutting the “women’s health programs” for inability to pay for it for inability to get federal funds.

Admissibly not a very good native as the reason Texas is not getting federal funds is Obama has choose to cut them off in order help line the pockets of his campaign contributes Planed parenthood.

That in itself is anther story about Obama’s despicably corruption “putting women’s health at risk”.
