Steve’s kinda late to the party, seems many of us have been talking for weeks about how both Newt and Rick need to stay in the campaign to gather enough delegates between them to force an open convention. Romney’s gameplan is to win 1144, the gameplan for the others is to prevent him from doing so.

I pray to God that there is a Brokered Convention and none of the Three Stooges or Kook-Daddy leave Tampa with the nomination. Ryan/Rubio in 2012.

If there is a brokered convention it is my hope none of the four we have running now is the winner. I would look to successful Governors as our best bet - a Perry or Daniel would make a great President. They are both conservative and have done great things for their state.

“I’m pushing for a floor fight. .  .  . I’d like to see a good old-fashioned convention and a dark horse come out,” Maine Republican governor Paul LePage told Politico in late February. “I just believe we ought to go to the convention and pick a fresh face.”

Mitch Daniels is so boring compared to Rubio and Christie.

Romney needs almost half of the remaining delegates to get the nomination. Right now he is averaging about 30% in each state.

Romney is the “Jim Carrey” character: “Not a chance in a million” that I support him.

I don't believe anybody is interested in a "Brokered" convention. In my view conservatives are fervently wishing for something as simple as a "Contested" convention. "Brokered" wreaks of cigarette and cigar smoke in back rooms far away from any semblance of "Transparency!"

I further see the truth being better served by the white hot light of pitched contest right out on the convention floor and a chairperson running the microphone with an iron clad sense of fairness!!!

A brokered convention may not be a bad thing. I just don't want to see Jeb Bush nominated to be our candidate for President.

Like the idea of a brokered convention. Candidates articulate their vision for a post-0bama revival.

So it comes to this?

We must TRUST the GOP establishment?

I don’t think many conservatives would like that idea.

I like to think that that the GOP leadership has learned its lesson during this primary, but something deep inside cries, “You GOTTA be KIDDING!”

Isn't this guy making the assumption that Romney delegates would go to Santorum at a brokered convention?

I contend that's not likely. If they were the type of voter that would vote for Santorum they would already be with him.

I believe if Romney's delegates abandon him they will go with the other anti-Santorum delegates in the Gingrich camp.

Everyone likes to talk about the anti-Romney vote. There's is a anti-Santorum vote that is at least as large.
