Climate Change Dispatch ^ | March 9, 2012 | John O' Sullivan

Posted on 03/17/2012 10:25:48 PM PDT by Paul Pierett

Research based on over 100 independent expert studies points to a cooling Earth climate at least until 2030. Author, Dr. Theodor Landscheidt of the Schroeter Institute for Research in Cycles of Solar Activity points to failures by climatologists to account for solar variation in their projections.

I’d rather have a warmer over cooler climate.

Enjoy it while it lasts. Don’t give away the snow shovel yet. The worst is yet to come.

Well, you can’t prove that by the recent weather in Texas.

We never even got a winter this year. Just a lazy, extended Fall, that suddenly blossomed into Spring, which is suddenly feeling mysteriously like Summer.

It was 79 in the house last night and I turned my air conditioner on, I live in central Illinois and this is the earliest in my memory that we've turned it on.

Our Forsythia bushes are already in bloom, another "earliest ever" for here.

I briefly considered starting my garden but thought better of it, it could still snow in April.

I set out my garden on May first one year, went on two week vacation and came back to a dead garden. We had gotten a hard frost on May 10th.

I am doing the happy dance.

Happy dance?

Cooling means crop failures, famine, and possibly the end of civilization if we are at the end of an interglacial.

Warming is good. Cooling is very bad.

Even at moderate levels, cooling could mean the collapse of agriculture North of the 40° parallel. That's a big chunk of our wheat and corn.

To a great extent, this invalidates carbon dioxide as the cause of global warming.

Why?

Because carbon dioxide levels have not gone down; they continue to rise. The theory of carbon dioxide being the cause of global warming should see no cooling at all. They hypothesis is not proven if it gets cooler.

And just think, our own Environmental Protection Agency declared carbon dioxide to be a pollutant on this hypothesis. The gas you exhale every moment of your life is declared a pollutant, which technically makes you a polluter for even living all on what appears to me to be a debunked theory—man-made global warming.

Do you think they'll now roll back their regulation?

Hint: Bwahahahaha!!!!

It’s almost like half the time the temp us above average and half the time it is below (/s)

Our warm temps this year seem to have more to do with the position of the jet stream than anything else. This is likely caused by the El Niño/La Niña cycles more than anything to do with CO2. Areas above the jet stream are generally cooler than those below. So when the jet stream is pushed farther north than usual, the areas normally above the line are warmer. If pushed more south, the areas normally below the line are cooler than normal.

The cool-weather crops can be planted early here, without too much concern, provided they’re on higher ground (frost settles low); and fast-growers such as sweet corn are often tall enugh there’s no worries. Radishes are a 30-day crop anyway (and how many radishes does one need?), and the various cole crops are quite hardy.

Over 50 years of personal research indicate that its gonna be hotter than normal in Kansas today and the wind is gonna blow like the dickens.

I bet I am more right than these guys.

High in Syracuse NY was 80 today. The average high for this date is 44.

I guess it all depends on where you are.

You can start peas, lettuce, onions, and spinach, and any other cold weather crop. Most of them can take a freeze.

I got those in already, last week, here in CNY, (Central NY).

Yep,

I have said that many times in my letters to governors, Senators, etc. etc. etc. I guess I will say that I have been alone too long. I was alone in Greece during a major world conference. It was all man-made global warming.

Why am I doing the Happy Dance. Now, someone who is not an amateur, some one who is official, some one in academia is saying what I am saying for 3 years and Have been saying all along.

I have cried my river over what you have said and seen.

Thank you NY.SS-Bar9. You see it too.

We should rejoice that science is catching up with us amateurs. I was ridiculed by NASA Engineers last years. Now, they can sweat STUPID drops of lies and tears.
