Amputate or Die
Examiner.com ^ | 17 June 2010 | Dr. Jack Wheeler

Posted on 03/18/2012 9:31:15 AM PDT by Albion Wilde

It was a sobering dinner party last night... Hosted by a London billionaire in his exquisite home...but the conversation between the ten of us was stone-cold serious...

"You know what my biggest fear is?" our host asked. "It's not really Obama, for what he's done is to accelerate what the liberals have been slowly doing for decades -- so quickly that their socialism is obvious to everyone. Which means the solution is obvious to everyone. My biggest fear is that voters will give Republicans the power to repair America on November 2nd -- and the Republicans won't have the courage to do it."

This piece is by the commentator Dr. Jack Wheeler, NOT the John Wheeler whose mysterious murder in Delaware is yet unsolved. It was reprinted in the Examiner by columnist Allan Erickson.

Although it was written in 2010, its predictions have most eerily come true.

Here is the entire foreword written by Erickson:
Rarely does one simply reprint the work of another but in this case the content is so compelling, it warrants wide distribution and serious consideration.  Few people seem to grasp how serious the situation has become, worldwide.  Mock the Tea Party people all you like, but they may be our only hope.

And the mystery billionaire was correct: the worthless John Boehner not only didn’t have the courage, he actively aided the rats in their endeavours to destroy the economy.

What a grotesque disappointment.

I have no faith whatsoever in Republicans to actually change what must be changed to save this republic :-(

Newt Gingrich would change it! But alas, he will not win.
I do not count him as a republican, he is altogether different from what passes as a republican these days. He wears the party name simply because only the two parties have a real shot at placing someone in the white house.

Someone like Newt comes along only rarely, it’s a pity we have passed him over because he is imperfect. We shall soon think back to what might have been...and weep. :-(

When you go for an operation they sit you down first an explain the risks including “our medical tools might be dirty.”

But else can you do?

Amputate? Right tentacle or Left?

"It made me think of what you once told me - "in five years the Corleone family will be completely legitimate." That was seven years ago.
I know...I'm trying darling."

―Kay Adams and Michael Corleon

Fahgedaboudit.

The American Declaration of Independence specifies a uniquely constrained purpose for American governance:

"TO SECURE THESE RIGHTS, governments are instituted among men"

To secure them from what;  to secure them from the organized criminal human nature whereby the collective/tribal herd always historically gravitates toward the subjugation of the Individual?

Hmmm.  Sounds regulatory.  Wonder what The Godfather thinks of that?

Too many legislators are just in it for the money and the retirement benefits. They get elected on smooth talk and high promises and then fade into the shadows and bide their time.

We have elections, like in 2010, and have resounding victories...then the people go back to sleep and new "heroes" do nothing different than before the election.

We had all the talk after the 2010 elections that we should "hold their feet to the fire", but it seems that the fire when out Congress is back to business as usual.

We actually should be on their asses everyday; not just writing them letters and calling them, but CC-ing the media on every letter we write to elected officials. Give the media - no matter how slanted they are - some idea of what the people are saying they want from our public "servants".

Politicians can tell the media anything; they can deny any pressure from the people and the media just takes them at their word. But if they are copied on all the correspondence to the Senators and Reps, then the light of truth will be more widespread.

And now we have all the wonderful blogs and forums on the internet, not to mention viral email, so the pressure on Congress should be relentless.

Those clowns also need to see some physical proof, like the hundreds of thousand of Tea Party Movement gatherings in DC that seem to have been cowed back to their homes. They dems (and the GOPe) were standing up and taking notice when all that was happening, and I think it was the primary reason we won back the house with such a resounding victory.

Then, after a couple of TEA party victory laps, it was all silent again. The brats in Congress retured to their mischief and the MSM laughed.

You can tell the left still worries about the TPM they way they try of emulate it and head it off (OWS), but right now I think they see a clear road ahead for themselves as the TPM seems to be MIA...in a physical sense anyway.

The left doesn't fear the GOP, but they do fear the people. The TPM showed America that they were not alone and that when obama says "all the people" support him, he's just referring to a small segment of America...especially now that he's shown us what a failure he has been.

Restoring America is not going to be easy...too many have been bought-off for too long and they do not want to loose their sugar daddy or their goodies. We are overrun with thugs, druggies and the entitlement donks, and there will be riots, a fact we need to start getting used to...it's gonna happen if obama loses.

I ran across this yesterday, and it fits today's scenario to a tee:

"Democracy... is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty ... is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote." -- Benjamin Franklin

The Problem as I see it with Romney is that he will be such a mediocre President that even if he does win he will be so middle of the road as to “not upset the apple cart” that the economy will not bloom and then in 4 years it will assure that the democrats take back power on the whole meme that the “economy didn’t recover”.

Not to mention any GOP president is going to be so damned hated no matter how “moderate” they are. Mittens will get so damned gun shy that he will be ineffective and the MSM and the Democrat controlled media will smell blood and keep attacking him even as he retreats and this will paralyze him to what needs to be done to restore the economy and defuse all of Obama’s horrible regulatory actions.

Newt is going to be hated like hell anyways and HE KNOWS THAT, but he also knows that he will have the people who put him there behind even if the Media doesn’t paint it that way every night at 5:00pm.

So therefore, Newt (who thrives on antagonism instead of flinching from it) will take the bold measures to recover the economy despite being thrashed every night on the MSM news channels. In Four years the MSM will be flabbergasted like their were on election night in 1984, because the man on the street will notice the economy improvement.

Mitt is a Flincher, Newt is a Clincher

Definition of a Clincher:

a decisive fact, argument, act, or remark

Definition of a Flincher:

to withdraw or shrink from or as if from pain

We are so SOL if Either Mittens gets in or Barry gets a second term.

Mittens would only slow things down and then in four years the GOP would be blamed so much but with little to show we would still be in an economic malaise the likes of Carter’s worst dreams. This would GUARANTEE a Democrat Victory over the house the senate and even the presidency in 2016. They would not be pulling any punches as they would run someone that would make Obama look like a middle of the road moderate. Because they know they would have a very good chance of winning. Not to mention the class warfare game that could be played to Bolshevik conclusion during that election if we get Romney and mediocre performance out of him which is very much likely.

Of course Obama winning would be a very much “nothing to lose” second term that would see him likely either completely destroying the economy so badly that they play the game of “Destroy and Support” in that they would destroy the economy and then support the people as the “great savior” thus ensuring either “Glorious Revolution” or the mass construction project of making millions more so dependent that they will have a permanent grip on power that would only come undone with Blood sweat and tears, but mostly Blood and Tears.

ABO and ABR, because we really need Newt or maybe Santorum if we get desperate, heck I would even take, heaven forbid (I can’t believe I am saying this), Ron Paul over Romney for the reasons above.

So I repeat once more: Newt is the Clincher, and Mitt is the Flincher.

If Romney wins the nomination, then we’re going to have to throw the Whigs into the trashcan and settle on a Conservative candidate who can beat the other two.

Another problem is that the conservatives have been unable to get it together, either. There’s the libertarian faction and the pro-life, pro-family, pro-morality faction. They need to work together, but from all the bashing of candidates I’ve been seeing her for the past month or so, it doesn’t look as if they will.

We would need to settle on a single write-in candidate, on whom the Tea Party, the Catholics, and the Evangelicals can all agree.

The RINO-e guys got a write-in victory in Alaska with Murkowski, but they were tightly organized and bought the union and tribal votes. Well, this is it. We need to straighten out the morality of our country before it goes completely to the dogs—not by government decree, but by example and by persuasion and by help from the churches. And we need to shrink government drastically, not just make a feeble start.

It might almost be better to do it with a write-in candidate, who won’t owe anything to the Party, and can kick Boner and company to the curb.

That’s if Romney wins. But with the continuing division and foodfighting among conservatives, he probably will. And he would be absolutely delighted to keep Obama’s Czars right where they are.

If we don’t get Newt, nothing will change. I can see the man working 24/7 working to change obama’s executive orders and add a few of his own. This is what MUST be done or the downhill slalom will continue until we are dead.

". . . and the Republicans won't have the courage to do it."
This is a very real and possible danger we face. Between the RINOs and the spineless leadership within the Republican Party, there is a very real possibility that very little of the big government initiatives of Obama will be rolled back . . . especially with a big government conservative like Santorum or a big government moderate like Romney in charge.

We desperately need a strong charismatic CONSERVATIVE candidate . . . and other than Newt, I see no one on the horizon.

I believe in miracles. This country needs a miracle desperately. No one else in this race will do what Newt can do. He will NOT play footsies with the dem leadership and he would tell boehner and mcconnell to go straight to hell if they tried. They might not like him, but he knows where the bodies are buried.
