My sixth grade teacher used to read a few pages of Huck Finn to the class everyday after lunch and made a point to provide the proper dialect inflections of each character.
Imagine a bunch of 11 and 12 year old kids today learning about dialect as a literary tool.
Teacher should have told him to imitate Hillary Clinton when she gave that speech down south.
Maybe she should have said, “Gayer, Jordan, c’mon I thought you were gay?”
