Technology and western capital is what is driving the Russian oil boom, not abiogenic oil. Not to mention a price of $100 a barrel. Much of the Russian oil is heavy (a la Keystone XL pipeline oil sands in Canada) and the Russians have finally allowed western companies to help them with money and technology.
