U.S. Sen. Scott Brown, in a fight for his political survival and facing Democratic charges hes waging war on women, plans to blunt the gender assault this week by crossing party lines to lend his high-profile support to a controversial domestic violence bill.
The Bay States sole Republican in Congress tells the Herald that in a contest against likely Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren, he can show hes been there for women, with a compelling personal story to back him up.

Brown is the best you are going to get in Massachusetts. We just have to put up with a certain level of this crap.
We knew he wasn’t a conservative when he ran the first time. He was just better than the alternative.
But don’t trust him!
Unfortunately, this being an election year I expect the RINO's in the senate to put their tails between their legs and pass this for fear of being labeled "anti-women". Our best hope is that this crap is stripped out when the bill is taken up in the House.
Ted "The Swimmer" Kennedy
Ed "The Lorax" Markey
Barney "The %&$&&^" Frank.
Maybe Democrats have volunteered to help sink the whole outrageous misandrist, discriminatory piece of unConstitutional shiite while they're grabbing for even more. (You know, lose the inch while they're trying for the mile, get the camel's head chopped off while they're trying to get his chest in the tent)
I live right around the corner from Ed Markey’s “residence”. He will always be the Ice Cream Truck driver to us.
I figure Brown is not someone I would want to back if I lived in Massachusetts, but that headline is truly disgusting. It makes it sound like Brown has had some sort of personal domestic violence or extramarital affair charges to contend with.
Apologies if that is in the whole story. I refused to click on it because the headline seemed deliberately misleading.
Red, are you supporting your fellow red, Ms. Warren?
That just sounds stupid.
We lived in MA, and I know Scott Brown and his family personally. Compared to the socialist MA political background, and viewed against my US Senator (Chappaquiddick Teddy), my US Congressman (Bahney Fwank), and his MA counterpart (LibLez Cheryl Jaques), :-( Scott stood out as refreshingly conservative (red):

When we lived in MA, I actively supported Scott -- and was generally pleased with his performance as our State representative. So -- when Kennedy met his fitting end, I (from Texas) contacted Scott, encouraged him to run for TK's national seat, and supported him in that effort...
BUT... when he appeared in the US Senate alongside REAL CONSERVATIVES, compared to them, he showed up as disappointingly liberal (blue):

The painful reality is that Scott is a genuine, left-leaning "Mugwump" (a foul-tasting bird who sits on the fence with his mug on one side, and his wump on the other...):

and in a sea of Mugwumps, Scott hardly stands out at all. In all good conscience, I can no longer support him for national office.
However, we might as well face facts. Within the Commiepoverty of Taxachusetts, and viewed against its socialist backdrop, Scott still looks outstandingly conservative. And, until someone truly unusual comes along, I expect Scott Brown is about as good as we can expect to get out of that liberal hellhole. No one else I know (with the possible exception of [now-resigned MA State Senator] Joanne Sprague) even comes close to Scott's (tainted) level of MA conservatism...

My #12 agrees with you...
What great graphics! I’ve never heard that definition of a mugwump either. Makes sense.
Thanks! That is not exactly "graphics" (...although I first did the illustrations as graphics...). I just played around with HTML TABLEs, text, and hexadecimal RGB colors so that I could "poke" it directly into FR's HTML editor.
The definition of "Mugwump" is 'way over a century old...
Red, are you supporting your fellow red, Ms. Warren?
&&&
Heavens, no! I vowed quite some time ago that I would never vote for/support a Democrat ever again.
TTTT, I am really not following the MA race; I live in MD.
