TOULOUSE, France (AP) — A motorcycle gunman opened fire Monday in front of a Jewish school in the French city of Toulouse, killing a rabbi, his two small sons and one other child, the prosecutor’s office said.
It was at least the third deadly motorcycle shooting in France in a week, shocking the country and prompting strong emotions and high-level discussions in Israel. French prosecutors were studying possible terrorist links, but the motive for Monday’s attack was unclear.
Concerns about a serial killer emerged, as investigators examined whether Monday’s shooting was linked to two deadly shooting attacks in the Toulouse region last week that killed three French paratroopers and left another seriously injured. French media reported those paratroopers were of Arab origin.

The Chief Rabbi of France, Gilles Bernheim, said he was “horrified” by what happened in Toulouse. “I am bruised in my body and my soul,” he added.
The shooting comes three days after three French paratroopers were shot dead by a man 30 km. from Toulouse. AP reported that two French paratroopers were shot in the town of Montauban, near Toulouse, on Friday, when a gunman on a black motorbike pulled up at a cash machine and opened fire. An 11.43 mm. weapon was used in that attack as well, according to the news reports.
Police saw a connection between those killings and to another deadly shooting of a soldier in Toulouse just over a week ago.”

UPDATE: The French prosecutor has confirmed there are indications that the perpetrator is the same as in the previous shootings.Le Point has a story about reports of a group of neo-Nazi sympathisers in the 17th Parachute Engineering Brigade, based in Montauban (considered part of the French special forces). Investigators are said to be following the "neo-nazi" track very keenly, based partly on the shooter's expertise in handling weapons and coolness under pressure. This fits perfectly with my previous speculation on the subject.
These neo-nazis had their photograph taken giving a Hitler salute in front of a swastika. This photograph was later published in Le Canard Enchaîné. Another French soldier made a complaint about them and they were later dismissed.

Four days before, a soldier from another airborne regiment was killed in Toulouse.
“All the soldiers who were killed were from ethnic minorities,” said Bockman. “So this is looking like a series of racist killings.”

Another victim, 8 year-old Miriam Monsonego, was the daughter of school principal Rabbi Yaacov Monsonego.Three children, ages 6-8, are fighting for their lives. The French television network BFM said the dead included a school teacher, his two children, and a 17-year-old male student. The daughter of the school’s principal, who had been critically injured, has also succumbed to her wounds.

Toulouse has been crawling with creepy muzzies for a while...and it’s a crying shame because it’s a beautiful city. I knew the moment I heard of the shootings just who was responsible. Prayers for the victims’ families.
