Little Rock Municipal Airport Commission members will be discussing and voting on a possible name change at Tuesday's meeting.
The proposal suggests that the Little Rock National Airport be renamed the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport in honor of President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
According to the drafted resolution, the name change will celebrate the Clinton Family because they have "dedicated their lives to the service of not only the City of Little Rock, but also to the State of Arkansas, the United States and the world as a whole."
Also, in a draft press release we received, commissioners believe that "it is logical for the renaming to coincide with the airport renovation, a major, multi-million dollar project" that is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2012.
The commission meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 20. If the proposal is approved the airport staff will begin the renaming process with FAA.

Today the City of Little Rock will vote on renaming Adams Field International Airport, after the Clintons. Yes becasue Captain George Geyer Adams, 154th Observation Squadron, Arkansas National Guard, who was killed in the line of duty on September 4, 1937 isnt as respectable as a Clinton. I mean he didnt Cheat on his wife in the oval office, bring a country to its knees economically with a nice little housing crisis..yes he is responsible regardless of what you think you know. Why not just name it the ACORN/Clinton airport?? Wow we already have a fancy trailer on stilts called a Presidential library what more do you want???
