Rick Santorum’s camp hits Mitt Romney on Bain tenure

Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum’s campaign is taking aim at rival Mitt Romney’s tenure at the helm of Bain Capital.....

[SNIP]

Back in January, when Perry and Gingrich were hitting the former Massachusetts governor hard on his Bain tenure, Santorum had told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, “I hate to sit here and be a defender of Mitt Romney, but to me this is federal capitalism, and I have to say that this is an attack probably not warranted.”

“Bain Capital, at least from the record I looked at, had a lot of success,” Santorum said at the time. “I mean they weren’t a company that has a long track of record basically destroying the companies and selling off the pieces. They had some situations where they had failures but every company does.”

"We never know for sure, but if there is a hidden bimbo, "

There is no hidden bimbo or we would have known by now. Santorum appears to be as clean as snow in his personal life.

You think the Newt supporters should be disenfranchised? there are many in Texas along with Perry and Norris that want to vote for the Speaker..not the Rooster.

Perry and Newt are for amnesty and not just for grandmothers. .....

You are flat out wrong on that but you have decided you need to return to it in some sick way. The only reason the Establishment hasn't taken Rick out is that they aren't finished using him to call for the only conservative left in the primary, Newt Gingrich, to withdraw. But hey! Rick is too busy following Newt's lead on the issues -- since Rick doesn't have enough conservative bones in his body to hold himself up for comparison to real conservatism.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see a political cartoon of a dummy that looks like Rick Santorum, with Newt making his lips move and giving him his talking points.

Maybe if you would quit posting awhile and turn on Rush right now, you would hear Santorum kicking ass on issues. He was even defending Newt.

And a 2nd dummy (with the likeness of Mitt), needs to be sitting on Newt's other knee!

Did Mitt Romney borrow his Wright brother's line from Newt Gingrich?

Joe Scarborough was mentioning how McLame was saying that these are the nastiest primaries races ever.

Rick shot back that it wasn’t Rick and it wasn’t Newt Gingrich that made it nasty. That is was Romney that spends his fortune tearing down all his opponents 24/7. So John needs to complain to the guy he supports this time who has made it so nasty.

The voters think differently. As Rush often says elections are about winning. Gingrich’s campaign is now up in smoke and he probally realizes it as well (he was strolling around DC this past weekend instead of campaigning in IL). So as to following Newt on the issues, I don’t see Santorum supporting permanent moon-based colones within eight years or the chicken-in-every-pot promise of gasoline at $2.50/gallon regardless of world energy markets or geopolitical conditions, and yes Santorun is not for amnesty. So much for big ideas! As described in the Wall St.J, Gingrich is a “Hindenderg waiting to explode.” Well, that just occurred after he lost TN, AL, AK, MO, AL, and MS. Time for him to pack it it instead of these stale and continuous anti-Santorum threads we keep encountering here.

ok, so Newt withdraws. And we nominate Rick Santorum. I will work for him and support him if that happens. Does it make me happy? No. Do I believe he can win? Never. but if it makes some of you happy, we then that’s something isn’t it.

The only thing I think I ever heard Rachel Maddow say that was absolutely correct was the following. She surmised that the fact that Romney and his supporters were SO insistent that it was OFF LIMITS to attack him for what he did at Bain Capital was because they all knew it was a huge glass jaw for him. They couldn’t let the attacks continue because they knew it would sink him, just as it did in South Carolina, one of Romney’s biggest, broadest and most embarrassing losses in this primary. Romney’s bain tenure shows, if nothing else, his absolute coldhearted, unethical win-at-all-costs-and-no-matter-who-you-have-to-crush-in-the-process attitude. It is totally consistent with the horrendously mean-spirited, heartless and dishonest way he’s behaved in this primary. And this sort of amoral attitude and behavior make him decidedly unqualified to be president, if not outright dangerous in the office.

The primary voters in the states who have voted, yes. Or in causcus states the really politically motivated, yes. I will vote for Rick. He is not our best chance, nor will he make the best President. But if he is all we got, so be it. I will not support Mr. Romney, period. And when we lose, I will sit back and listen to you and others explain it away.

Now that my friend is a real politician and sleaze ball. Anyone who endorsed both Alen Spector and Mitt Romney is no friend of mine. I will vote for him, but I am holding my nose. I will not vote for Mitt Romney. This guy stinks big time.

LAUGH OUT LOUD! What are you going to use for material when you can no longer play flim flam for Rick by blaming Newt?

With Newt and Ron Paul together handing over all they have, Rick couldn’t keep half of them, and as it is he can’t perform now in what is all but a virtually cleared field.

I said days ago that Rick will step on his tongue before he ever even sees JUNE, but for what he steals from Newt’s own lips. The rest is making him oatmeal for the press, before Romney even has to spend a dime.

You guys asked for a clear field. How’s that workin’ out for you?

Soon you won’t

Why don’t we make Santorum answer a purity test questionnaire to see if he’s engaged in any sexual practices you find immoral? Because it is so vitally important to know this information. Everyone should be required to fill one out before applying for any job.
