they have the mistaken impression that any rights We the People may have, derive from government.

From the Declaration:

"That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government..."

It’s not only the RIGHT of the people to abolish a destructive government, but it’s also their DUTY.

But as the government becomes larger and all-powerful, this task becomes ever harder...
