The French police are reportedly looking for three people in connection with the bomb that exploded near the Indonesian Embassy in Paris on Wednesday morning local time.
"There is an indication that the bomb was placed by three people. The police are now searching for them," State Intelligence Agency (BIN) chief Lt. Gen. Marciano Norman said as quoted by tribunnews.com.
The French police were also still investigating if the bomb was a deliberate attack on the embassy, Marciano said.
"The Indonesian embassy is located near a sidewalk and the bomb was put in front this sidewalk," he added.
Separately, Foreign Ministry spokesman Michael Tene told The Jakarta Post that the embassy was operating as usual, albeit with increased security measures.
We are not planning to evacuate the ambassador and staff as we have yet to conclude whether the explosion was really aimed at Indonesia, he said, adding that the ministry had told embassy employees to report to work as usual.
The Associated Press reported that a package bomb exploded at the Indonesian Embassy in Paris early Wednesday morning local time, causing minor damage but no injuries.
The embassy employee who first sighted the package stepped back before it exploded, according to reports. (hwa/swd)

Marciano, I’m sure it was just a careless accident.
Hey, Inspector Clouseau, if it is a bomb, it's deliberate.
When should we expect the French to surrender? Time to start cranking out the white flags?
Opinion: No coincidence.
