Those thirty eight probably produce more useful output, in the form of oil and gas, than thirty-eight thousand DC lawyers.

Rural parts of NM still have Yersenia pestis floating around. I haven't heard how many cases were treated this year, but it's there.

Be a damn shame (&ct...insert insincere verbiage here).

For those in Rio Linda, Yersenia pestis is plague. Which generally isn't fatal if treated, these days, but it ain't fun, according to those that had it.

Barack Hussein Obama or whatever his name is this week is a real scumbag. Wasting taxpayer dollars for that maggot to do campaign photo ops is REALLY stating to piss me off. Expecially when I’m paying 4.50 a gallon for gas because of his Marxist policies.

You could have just said the black plague and they would have known what you were talking about. The plague comes and goes in the 4 corners area some years it is worse than others. Prairie dogs are the likely carriers of the infected fleas.

Photo op on private land. This is private land, Spanish land grant patent. Obama must have thought he landed in hell. No arugula for his salad. Had to eat a burrito like everyone else.

All of the black death in Europe way back when may or may not be Y. pestis. I think it was, but the academics are still arguing it out.

The stuff in NM is, for sure.

Good enough, anyway.

And then there's that stuff from mouse droppings... Hantavirus.

Texas and New Mexico are dangerous without people.

Which suits me just fine.

That's not the population of Maljamar proper. That's the population of the Greater Maljamar Metropolitan Area -- about a ten sq. mile area.

There are more pumpjacks than people...

Maybe they have some sort of prairie dog village or petting zoo so TOTUS can give a speech, and
0 can press the flesh with the little fellows and maybe make one or two faint from the excitement.

Now we should be honest here. The first Yeti produces far more gas. Just look at those rear view shots.

That was my first thought at seeing the headlines. How many bus loads of tree huggers did they scoot in and what was the carbon footprint.

As for the population 38, my guess - “Protesters were also waiting for the president, some carrying signs opposing his administration’s consideration of listing the dunes sagebrush lizard as an endangered species.”

Obozo really has his panties in a knot over rising gas prices, and the political damage they are doing to him. So, he does what he does best; he lies, and lies, and lies. The only thing that stands between America producing all of the oil we use, or being held hostage by OPEC and Islam is ignorance on the part of people like Obozo.

The way to alternative energies that can meet the needs of the future is through prosperity, and that means exploiting the energy resources we have today.

Saudi Arabia is rushing to lower the price of oil, and save Obozo’s political arse, because they know oil and the market. They look at the US, and realize that should we wake from our sleep of ignorance, and utilize our resources, we will put them out of business, at least as far as we are concerned. That means the welfare of Saudi Arabia and the royal family will cease to be important to us. ...Let them deal with China, a nation that treats Muslims the way the Saudis treat everyone else.

But none of what can be a bright and just future will happen should Obozo be reelected.
