LOS ANGELES — Families canceling vacations. Fishermen watching their profits burn up along with their boats’ gasoline. Drivers buying only a few gallons of gas at a time because they can’t afford to fill the tank.

From all corners of the country, Americans are irritated these days by record-high fuel prices that have soared above $4 a gallon in some states and could top $5 by summer. And the cost is becoming a political issue just as the presidential campaign kicks into high gear.

Lying sacks o crap.
We do know who to blame.
Obama and the Energy Dept. Their war on oil is certainly a factor in the higher prices.

Liberals are clinging bitterly to their New York Times, Washington Post, MSNBC talking heads, NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN????

And here we thought only conservatives cling to things, such as clinging to guns and religion.

The same as when teens and twenty-teens were told by Viacommie-MTV that BUSH was bringing back the draft in 2004. They would interrupt programming with the “breaking news”.

Except the only legislation in the House and Senate came from 100% Democrat politicians.

I overheard a mother say that her kids threw up their hands and weren’t going to vote because “both” sides were wrong on this matter (Bush blamed for bringing back the draft somehow made him RESPONSIBLE for the Democrat legislation I guess).

The Democrat Party and the MSM wants the public dumb and democrat.

President Obama says that he had no part in this. It’s the unstable nature of the Middle East. After HE took responsibility for knocking over the Egyptian and Libyan governments and propping up the Iranian government.

Anyone who knows the economics of supply and demand understands why gas prices are moving towards $5/gallon. However, there are too many who would never know that 2+2 = 4 if the media said it was 5. Zer0 is counting on the idea that the sheeple never do.

“not sure”???

Only the lying Commie Obama buttcrack lickers could ever play “Where’s Waldo” when the blame squarely lies with Obama, Reid, Pelosi, the Sierra Club, Earth First and the EPA/Dept. of the Interior.

Oh, and the Saudis fund all the Green groups here, shhhh....

So, are you saying that domestic producers should not be allowed to participate in the free market, and be required to offer their product here at reduced profits?
Sounds like a plan to redistrbute wealth to me....

Gas has more than doubled since obammy became pres.
Course that and anything else bad that has happened since he took charge is NOT his fault.
Still, all Bush’s fault?
What a complete a-hole this narcissist marxist punk is.

I recall “speculators” being blamed
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
I distinctly recall ‘them’ speculating that the prices were going up because Bush was from Texas and Cheney was still on the Haliburton ‘payroll’ so us ‘peons’ were picking up the bill and the ‘obscene profits’ the Oil Companies were getting virtually going into Bush & Cheneys pocket.

The idea I was driving at was to use domestic crude solely for domestic consumption, combined with savings from refining and distribution locally, and decoupling the price from the world market for personal consumption, it would be a big boost for the domestic economy. Unless that is if you are taking the shareholder’s position, in which case your margins will be quickly outstripped by inflation caused by uncertainty of energy prices, along with reduced demand for the product you profit from. Five dollar a gallon fuel is a really strong incentive to find other means to move from point A to point B. It’s called called pricing yourself out of the market.
