TRUMP TO GOP: Stay Away From Paul Ryan's Budget ("Very dangerous for Republicans")
Business Insider ^ | 03/23/2012 | Grace Wyler

As Washington gears up for a fight over House Budget Chair Paul Ryan's latest federal budget proposal, Donald Trump has some advice for Republicans: Stay away.

The real estate mogul/reality TV host/presidential hopeful tweeted this afternoon:

Trump doesn't elaborate on his thinking. But as we pointed out earlier this week, Ryan's new budget plan is politically troublesome for the GOP heading into the 2012 election. Ryan's first stab at the budget was a disaster for the party last year, and Democrats are eagerly gearing up for Round II.

Paul Ryans budget is a complete joke. He is either a coward and is afraid to tell the American people how much trouble we are really in or he is afraid to tell the people how bad it is because he is stupid. Does anyone really think we can wait 30 years before we balance the budget??? This country doesnt have much time left before it falls.

If the GOP misteps politically that basatard will be re-elected and if he IS, you ain’t seen NOTHING yet!!!!

Considering the way the primary is going, that mis-step has already been made, and cannot, at this point, be un-made, so, your point is?

If the republicans do not present a better alternative, Obama will be relected. Our side is providing solutions while the dems present nothing but excuses and stonewalling. The right narrative for 2012. Remember the republicans are almost as unpopular as the democrats because of the 2005-2009 era. They need to rebuild their brand as responsible reformers.

Why is there not a ruckus that is loud and continuing from the Republican side that demands a budget from the Senate and promotes the budgets passed by the house?

I my opinion, they are complicit in this abrogation of our Constitution and they desire this so that they, too, need not make the hard decisions.

There are no leaders in this country that are currently in power.

Shame on them. Shame on us for not demanding the most basic of governmental functions - a budget, good or bad.

Our government is no better or more functional than a crack addict.

The system has failed completely, and there is no turning back.

Could any of you imagine the complacency with which we, as a people, greet the complete and total breakdown of our government?

I am appalled. I weep for my children.

“Make the election a referendum on the Ryan budget”

Unfortunately it will not be so easy to do this because the Dems are going to change the narrative as they always do that this is an issue of Republicans dismantling Medicare.Trump is right. This election needs to be about Obama and we do not need to give the opposition ammo to change the focus. The Ryan budget makes fiscal sense but it makes no political sense right now before the election particularly with no hope of it passing before the election. It should however be the first issue raised immediately after the election.

This election will not be lost because of political missteps. If it is lost, it will be due to voter fraud. We need voter id laws and purple ink laws enacted...fast. The commies have become far to blatant with their agenda to be planning on a fair election. They think they have it all in place to steal this election. We can stop them with purple ink. So simple and so sensible.

I think Ryan's budget is a winner if the Republicans will read, learn and inwardly digest the substance of it, and then go on a full court press to sell the general public. That is a job FR could do very well if we quit squabbling.

We also need to get back to paper ballots. I’m sure a lot of fraud is committed by computer operatives and there is no paper trail. The paper ballot is the sane and sensible solution. If we don’t have fair elections we don’t have America.

I remember Trump talking about this before. His concern (imo) is the timing just before the election. His budget can't get passed right now with senate , Obama. The Obama media machine will use it effectively to scare seniors....."they want to take your medicare away"

Basically, concentrate on election..introduce it after you win.

http://www.glennbeck.com/2011/04/25/trump-tied-to-soros/

King of conspiracy theories Donald Trump brushed off questions about George Soros during a speech. Glenn was curious as to why someone who seems game for something as out there as “birtherism” would dismiss a question about Soros.

So what do we run on? Trying to prove what is wrong about Obama? We need to give people something to vote for, not against.

Let the Dems have their narrative. If we would just stand together on this issue and hammer away, we could make a differnce. The problem is as soon as we are attacked, too many cave.

Trump can take his political advice and shove it.

He couldn't even get enough GOP candidates together for a debate...now he's an expert on what's good for the party?

Well, that certainly is an issue which needs addressing.

For instance, many people who live in New York City also have residences in Florida and New Hampshire - and vote in all three places.

The illegal alien vote is anothere issue as well as threats from criminal groups like the New Black Panthers intimidating voters at polling places.

No argument there. But at the same time, political realities need to be considered during an election cycle.
