So since he didn’t name O’Bama and Romney by name it all right with the Santorum folks. Since O’Bama is who we have now and Romney is the only candidate recently connected with an etch-a-sketch it seems pretty obvious who he was talking about.
I truly believe that Mitt Romney = George Ryan.
If we elect a RINO he will kill the GOP party for years to come. And so if it’s Mitt or Obama...

First nobody was talking at all about Saint Rick until after the three meaningless cauci he won unopposed. And second when is it a lie to quote someone’s own words.
Maybe you can enlighten a fellow Keystone Stater to all these egregious episodes where Santorum said things that furthered the Lefts agenda. Since you claim everyone in Congress and the whole state of PA know this, you should have no problem rattling off 8 or 10 of them off the top of your head.

You spin it any way you want — but that’s a direct quote out of Santorum’s mouth, and there is one and only one way to interpret it: “we” (Santorum and the mouse in his pocket) “might as well” vote for Obama, as Romney.
Not a ringing, enthusiastic endorsement to be sure — but an endorsement of Obama nevertheless, given a choice between the two.
How stupid of him to do that. Shades of John “Obama’s a good fella” McCain. Ranks right up there with Douchebag’s advisor’s “Etch-a-sketch” comment in sheer tone-deaf stupidity — but at least it wasn’t Romney himself that made that gaffe.
Does Santorum really want to be President? *CAN* Santorum function as an executive? Doesn’t look that way to me.
God help us! With two complete bozos as the frontrunners, only a brokered convention offers America some hope. And that’s but a glimmer.
Santorum does have a habit of making it easier for critics to mischaracterize him.
Why would he clean house? He is the epitome of a big labor, big government, establishment “take one for the team” republican. He’ll fit right in with the good ole boys if, God forbid, he would stumble into the WH.
Like Sarah Palin says to Santorum and his fanatics, Oh, Boo-hoo!

No way, no how, will I EVER get behind Romney. If he's the nominee, then I write in Sarah Palin's name and then go home and sleep peacefully about it.

That's precisely the point Santorum was making. Romney is far too similar to Obama to be a satisfactory choice. He appointed plenty of Communist, abortion-loving judges to the courts while he was governor of Massachusetts. And, keep in mind, several of the worst judges on SCOTUS now were also appointed by RINO Republicans and stupid Republican compromisers.
We cannot afford any more Obama appointments. But Romney appointments would be no better. He has already demonstrated that many times over.

Can't you see? This is the false narrative being promoted by the media, the Democrats and the Romney campaign.
Rick Santorum is intelligent. No one can deny that. He has been in Washington for years and as a freshman headed up the effort on welfare reform. I agree he is not as articulate as Newt or as good at dealing with the media but Newt has been subject to a vicious false narrative too.
You can take anything anyone says out of context and lie about it. If it is repeated often enough it becomes the accepted narrative.
Just because the media proclaimed Obama as brilliant etc does not mean he is. Just because this same media has proclaimed Santorum to be an idiot does not mean he is.
Romeny won’t be able to contrast with Obama on those issues, but it is obvious to me that the American electorate doesn’t have a clue about those issues anyway. If they did, Barack Hussein Obama would never have been elected president. The media focuses on nonsense all day.
I think the one thing that Americans do have a grasp of is that Obama is incompetent, and are ready to dump him. There is a feeling of malaise in the country, and it is time for a change. So I think that any of the GOP nominees can beat him, but it won’t be driven by any particular issue or set of issues.
Which is why we shouldn’t settle for Mitt. Now is the time to advance the pro-liberty, small-government agenda. That is certainly not Romney. Neither Gingrich or Santorum would be my first choice to carry that mantle, but they are what we are stuck with.
As for Romney vs. Obama - no brainer. If it was Clinton that was the incumbent, I would say “who cares, what’s the difference”. We could at least survive another four years of Clinton.
But Obama is a complete and total, absolute unmitigated disaster on every level. He is a dangerous reckless president. The country can’t survive another four years. He must be defeated, even if it’s by Romney.
Then, we can primary Romney in four years.

Did you add that line for some levity? There is no way Romney will get Primaried during a reelection. The GOPe will make sure of that.
Santorum NEVER said he preferred Obama to Romney or that he wouldn't support Romney. Santorum made an insightful point that if the choice is between Obama and someone who is almost exactly the same as Obama voters may choose Obama.
The point that a Democrat can beat someone who is a pale imitation is true and the same sentiment has been expressed by Ronald Reagan and many others.
And Obama will be re-elected if enough people are as foolish and short sighted as you.
On the plus side, the Santorum camp and the Romney camp now have something to bond over. We may see a consensus arise out of this.
And both the country and the GOP-E will get what they deserve. No more nose holding, PERIOD!
