The Sanford Neighborhood Watch volunteer who shot and killed Trayvon Martin, an unarmed black teenager, did not instigate the encounter but has received death threats and moved out of his home, his father told the Orlando Sentinel on Thursday.
George Zimmerman, 28, has not been arrested, something that has put him and the Sanford Police Department at the center of a firestorm. Critics say Trayvon, who was visiting family from his home in Miami, was a victim of racial profiling.
Zimmerman's father, 64-year-old Robert Zimmerman of Lake Mary, delivered a one-page letter to the Sentinel on Thursday, saying that the depiction of his son in the media has been cruel and misleading.
George Zimmerman is Hispanic and grew up in a multiracial family, the statement says.
"He would be the last to discriminate for any reason whatsoever ...," the letter says. "The media portrayal of George as a racist could not be further from the truth."
The letter does not provide details about what happened Feb. 26 on a walkway in the gated community where George Zimmerman lives and where Trayvon was visiting. But it does challenge one basic assumption of the family's lawyers: that Zimmerman's intent when he got out of his sport utility vehicle was to confront Trayvon after calling police to report a suspicious person.

I missed nothing. Zimmerman staged the attack by baiting Martin with filthy racial slurs. Zimmerman knew the kid was unarmed, contrary to what he told the 911 dispatcher about "something in his hand, that was in his waistband", and he was confident he could end the attack at his lesuire by killing Martin after enough witnesses had heard his feigned cries for help. Zimmerman is a murderous, racist scumbag.
I listened to the full 4 minutes of Zimmerman’s 911 call and it definitely sounded like coons and not at all like punks. It may not be possible to prove he said that but it does sound that way.
I’m just thinking this through, and obviously I don’t know all the “facts”, even though they seem to be quite disputable. Did this altercation happen in on a street in a fancy neighborhood? Or was it on someone’s property?
Let’s say the kid did turn around and confront Zimmerman for following him, and even if he did start taking swings at Zimmerman, is the next logical step is to pull a gun? Unless you are protecting your own property, I don’t think so. Now if the kid was packing, or had a knife, there may have been a reason.
Either way, he used excessive force, to say the least. Guns are not play toys. Did Zimmerman know he was going to kill the boy?

If the kid was pounding his head against the sidewalk, then yes, Zimmerman had a right to be afraid for his life. And the police report noted Zimmerman was bleeding from the back of his head.
The same could be said for any issue or cause that the left takes up to further their agenda -

I said there were several articles this morning indicating that voice and recording analysts had cleaned the tape up and tried to determine what was said...and even they could not do so.

The fight and shooting took place on a walkway between the backs of two parallel rows of townhouses. The area was clear of obstructions.
So, you might ask, why is that relevant ~ and I"d let you know that "Zimmerman" spent his 'yout" in Manassas Virginia, which has long since been a quite multi-racial (blacks, whites, asians, hispanics, etc.) community!

From what I read the neighborhood is not fancy just because it is a gated one. They have a 49% white, 51% black and Hispanic makeup. They have had a large amount of crime recently in this neighborhood which is why they started a neighborhood watch program.
In FL they have two laws that give the right to self defense up to and including deadly force. If you feel you are in danger of being harmed then you can use deadly force to stop the altercation. The DOJ shows that more people are killed each year by beatings and kickings than are killed by guns or knives. So being beaten is grounds for deadly force if you feel the beating is becoming life threatening.
That is what the MSM really is trying to do here. They are trying to outlaw the Stand your Ground laws passed in over 21 states. We as gun rights supporters have won too many of our rights back and they just can’t take that.
From what I have heard by talking with some cops I know, Martin was suspended from school for 5 days because he was involved in gang activity. They keep showing pictures of Trayvon as a angel faced kid. He was 6’2” tall and a foot ball player at his High School. He was more than a match for Zimmerman. He was also said to have escaped Zimmerman but when Zimmerman was going back to his truck Martin rushed out and knocked him to the ground. Then he got on top of him and was beating him in the face. It was only then that Zimmerman pulled his gun and shot Martin.
If things happen as they normally do, the facts will leak out. If the facts aren’t as the MSM is playing them then this will be proof that the MSM is trying to stir up a lynch mob. The only reason I can think why they would do this is they might believe it would help Obama in the 2012 election. It would help bring back the “white guilt” felt by so many liberals and, from what I see on these threads” some RINO conservatives too.

the 911 tape contained screams. When this tape was played for the boys ( 17 years old, 6’2” 190 pounds of him )father, the father stated the screams were not from his son. A witness saw the black man on top of zimmerman punching him repeatedly in the face, while zimmerman screamed for help... zimmermans face was bloody and bruised, and the back of his head was bleeding... now add all this together and what do you have?
You have a guy approaching a 6’2” suspended from school black man in a hoodie, and upon initial confrontation the black man attacks, for whatever reason you wish to insert here....knocks down the neighborhood watch guy and starts beating the crap out of him.... only thing not accounted for is the fact that the neighborhood watch guy was armed.
Conclusion, the thug picked the wrong guy to attack.
Yea, go figure........and little mention of the wound on the back of his head, his bloodied face and wet grass stains on the back of his shirt.

One thing in your comment I’ve been thinking about since this story came out in the media.
Martin was on the phone with his girl friend the entire time. He called her back after he lost signal when he was running and hiding from Zimmerman.
My thought on this is, if Martin was feeling threatened by Zimmerman, why did he stay on the phone with a teen age girl instead of calling his father just a few houses away or the cops to come to his aid?
Also, why does the media only show us pictures of Martin as a young boy? Why do they only show us pictures of Zimmerman that appear as a arrest photo?
Martin was 6’ 2” and a football player. From what I have heard from some cops I know, he was staying with his dad because he got suspended for 5 days from his school. The reason for the suspension was because of gang involvement supposedly.
I think I will wait and see what comes out and from where before I start tying a hangman’s noose for Zimmerman.
The only eye witness account sides with Zimmerman’s account.
