I figured they would. It is interference by those companies in Facebook’s Intellectual Property, software licensing agreements, profits, etc. Tortious interference is just the start of such a lawsuit.

I don’t have a Facebook, Linkedin or any other social/relationship page.

If I did I would either not tell them about it or tell them it is private and privileged information.

Not gonna do it.

Anyone who has that social network crap deserves what they get. Check your machines for cookies, keyloggers etc. They’re all dangerous to your privacy.

Not a fan of FB nor will I ever join. But I congratulate them and encourage them to fight this kind of nonsense.

I have a fake FB account. If "they" look for real me online, good luck.

Not having any of these things is the best method though.

Thank you, Facebook! There was no (legal, good, helpful)reason for people to give up their private information.

Well, I wouldn’t go that far. I don’t use Facebook or Twitter, and I don’t feel like a cave dweller.

It is not my cup of tea, but I don’t want to denigrate anyone who feels they have to or want to use it.

That said, I always hope that same courtesy is extended for me for NOT using them.

I have no social network accounts aside from FR. I don’t own a smartphone. I don’t have a laptop. My cave is very bright and well-stocked with private stashes of things that wouldn’t exist if I had social network accounts.

Privacy is tantamount to me.

“They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

I’m VERY safe in my person and my liberty. Someone asks me for my Facebook password in an interview: “Sorry, I don’t have an account.” No other excuses required.

I finally got on FB just to keep up with a brother, nieces, nephews & two cousins, all who live out of town/state. I have to admit, it’s been a good thing, really keeps me in daily touch with them - just seeing pictures, etc. is priceless. My “friends” are all close family only - asking me to see my FB account would be like telling me to bring my family photo albums to an interview for review. I would walk out of an interview before I would let them look at my FB account .... and I am currently unemployed so this is not a hypothetical for me.

Everything you post or do on the web can be tracked if someone really wanted to do it.

People have no idea of what they’re allowing to happen to themselves and their machines, as well as their/their families’ future, by using that “social-crutch” junk.

You're 100% right!

All it takes is one “right click and save” and PRESTO, that pic of you doing “whatever” is saved FOREVER.

And what's going on with the innards of your machines? That's a whole other story,
