..."[George] Zimmerman's life was not without difficulties. In 2001, when he was 17 or 18, he was the victim of a minor criminal assault, said Manassas police Sgt. Eddie Rivera. The city's computer records do not provide details of the crime.
In school, Zimmerman hinted at ambitions in the business world. He joined a Future Business Leaders of America club. And in his senior yearbook, he wrote: "I'm going to Florida to work with my godfather who just bought a $1 million business."
In Sanford, Zimmerman shifted his plans, with hopes of becoming a law enforcement officer. NPR reported that he had taken a 14-week class at the Seminole County Sheriff's Office, and he was enrolled at Seminole State College until the school kicked him out this week, citing safety concerns.
He became the self-appointed protector of the streets around his home, although his neighborhood watch organization was not officially registered. Over the past eight years, he called the Police Department at least 46 times with reports of various sightings. In 2005, according to police records obtained by the Orlando Sentinel and other media, Zimmerman was twice accused of either criminal misconduct or violence. Zimmerman must have been afraid for his life have the much larger Martin beating him..

Clearly a case of self defense...
Zimmerman wanted to look like the hero so he shot trayvon so that there would only be one side of the story, HIS

You're right. Our society has been duped into enabling criminal behavior because being called "snitch" by a criminal has become widely accepted as being contemptible.
I wonder why you left out the physical evidence of injuries on Zimmerman?
Huh? I didn't "leave out" anything. I was just replying to your post to me speculating about steroid use by Martin, not trying to give an exhaustive account of everything that happened that night. You didn't mention Zimmerman's injuries, either. I welcome you to look at my posting history elsewhere on this topic. I can assure you I am quite well aware of a number of details and would much prefer that everybody offering opinions familiarize themselves with all the known facts, and I'm sure you agree with that.
I’m not “glad” he’s dead - I’m utterly indifferent. There’s a difference.
How many “good kids” get expelled from school? Especially these days. Odds are this kid would’ve wound up in a gang, jacking cars or otherwise wreaking havoc on decent people.
Maybe not, but the odds are in my favor.
“tardiness. Keep on spreading your false guesses.”
Post this AM at 12:35 says it was for ASSAULT on the bus driver. My instincts told me it was for something far more serious than tardiness. Are you telling me that the little angel travon might not have had a serious attitude problem that led to an assault on Zimmerman?
More information as time goes on. Sorry, I was reporting on an early report.
