Last weekend in the city of Chicago alone, gangbangers slaughtered ten people and wounded another forty. The youngest fatality is only six years old. The youngest person wounded is only one-year-old. Many of the victim were pedestrians sprayed with bullets in drive by shootings. The national news has said nothing about this.
So why does one shooting in Florida warrant weeks of national news? Why has there been thousands of articles a day, for the last four days, about one single shooting?
Almost all of the news items about George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin contains a combination of false statements, opinions presented as facts, transparent distortions, and a complete absence of some of the most relevant details. Almost all news items are written soley from the point of view of the grieving family. The media also fills their articles with outdated baby-faced pictures of Trayvon. Very few include that he was a towering 6'2” football player. Is the media really reporting the news, or is this classic agitation/propaganda to advance a political agenda.

Circumstances of the incident have been insufficiently reported. Trayvon Martin does not come off as any paragon of virtue, nor is George Zimmerman any kind of totally villainous character.
Evidently SOME kind of personal threat was involved. But upon whom?
Suggestion is, that Zimmerman was the victim of a verbal slander, subsequent to an attempt to question a person proceeding with mysterious motives, and the situation just escalated from there.
But this may just be “he said, he said”.

If it's gang-bangers killing gang-bangers and not killing innocent black people, I think eric holder should ship them some new weapons.
I don't care if it's Crips and Bloods, MI-13, Asian gangs, white gangs {are there any left}, even Eskimo gangs, if they are killing each other, it's all OK with me.

I made an argument (similar to this author’s) in another forum. The responses I elicited, lead me to believe that you can’t reason with anyone, who won’t be reasoned with.
The lefty agitprop experts scan the news and determine which events have the greatest promise and then they spin the hell out of them and tell the media which to lead with. And, of course, which stories to totally smother.

It's interesting that the murder victims are either described as "black male" OR if they are described as a "white male" they generally seem to have a Latino name.

Problem is, they're such horrible marksmen that anyone could get hit (and they often do).
A few years ago, my brother and I were at an indoor shooting range in P.G. County, just outside of N.E. Washington D.C.
Several lanes over, there were three thugs, sharing a pistol. To say things like muzzle awareness was an alien concept to them, was a ridiculous understatement.
Eventually, one of them, holding the gun sideways, of course, managed to hit the return line. Not the one in his lane, either - IT WAS TWO LANES OVER!
Finally, the RSO came over and asked them to leave. Needless to say we never visited that range again.
I would like to know at what time the 911 calls record the gunshot. Just after 7:20, Mr. Zimmerman reports he can no longer see Mr. Martin. By 7:30, Mr. Martin is declared dead by EMTs.
