Hands Off My Healthcare Rally

The battle against Obamacare and its obvious disregard of the U.S. Constitution has finally reached the U.S. Supreme Court. The Tea Party Express, along with constitutional conservatives across the nation have opposed this legislation from its inception, and whether it be by judicial rule or congressional repeal, we are determined to fight until it is no more.

This is why it is so important for you to join us in support of the Hands Off My Health Care Rally at Upper Senate Park on March 27th at 1:00PM. We are teaming up with Americans for Prosperity and 15 other conservative organizations, along with grassroots activists across the country to rally against Obamacare!

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) is an unprecedented overreach of federal power aimed at redefining the Constitution and distorting the intentions of our nation’s Founding Fathers.

The Commerce Clause of the U.S. Constitution did not grant Congress the power to directly impose an individual mandate to purchase healthcare insurance. Congress has never before attempted to use the Commerce Clause to justify imposing a mandate on economic inactivity; interstate commerce would not be affected. 

The Tea Party movement has prided itself on defending the Constitution, and Obamacare is an attempt by a leftist Congress and Executive Branch to fundamentally and unconstitutionally alter our founding documents. America has not seen such an assault on and blatant disregard for our Constitution since September 17th, 1787 when it was adopted and ratified. 

Now, as the Supreme Court gets ready to hear arguments over the Constitutionality of the individual mandate, we feel we should make this severe overreach of federal powers known to the America people. Whether the Supreme Court strikes down the mandate and throws Obamacare out in its entirety, or the Congress repeals it, Obamacare must not stand!
