Romney: “The Gay Community Needs More Support from the Republican Party’
CNS News Service ^ | March 23, 2012

When Mitt Romney first entered the political scene in 1994, running for the U.S. Senate against Teddy Kennedy, he told an LGBT-focused publication in Massachusetts that he would be a more effective advocate for the interests of the “gay community” than Kennedy had been and that gays should support him because “the gay community needs more support from the Republican Party.”

“Why should the gay community support your campaign when Ted Kennedy has been a strong supporter of civil rights issues and the gay community?” asked a reporter from Bay Windows.

“Well, I think you're partially right in characterizing Ted Kennedy as supportive of the gay community, and I respect the work and the efforts he's made on behalf of the gay community and for civil rights more generally, and I would continue that fight,” Romney said in an interview currently posted on the Bay Windows website.

"I think the gay community needs more support from the Republican Party,” said Romney, “and I would be a voice in the Republican party to foster anti-discrimination efforts.”

Romney was a pioneer for gay rights. He was responsible for the first gay marriage, which he imposed on Massachusetts. The state supreme court had ordered the legislature to do something about gay rights, but it was Romney, and only Romney, who actually did it.

That led to all the other gay marriage proposals that have passed since, and probably was what enabled the politicians to push “gay rights” on the military.

Without Romney, none of this would have happened. He was the guy who broke the resistance. And thaten it spread.

Santorum was absolutely right. He did not say that he preferred Obama to Romney. He said that if Romney gets the GOP nod, then people will have little or no choice between the two candidates. Gay rights, abortion, socialized medicine, big spending, Communist judges—you name it, and Romney is for it. And probably is better at pushing it through than Obama has been/

The Republican Party needs more support from the Gay Community. They (the Gay Community) should remember their treatment at the hands of any Socialists (Nazi, Communist, or Social Democrat). They think, somehow, they will fare any better with a Social Democrat like Romney?

Exactly my point. What little resistance we see from RINOs in congress to Obama, would evaporate for Romney.

I agree.

More people see him for what he is....a RINO loser who will do or say anything to win. If he can’t buy the presidency he’ll try to steal it. The man is a scumbag.

Let them vote for Obama ... chances are, they will anyway. I think the Republicans can win this thing without the pervert vote.

I say again .. . if we vote for Romney, we vote the enemy in our camp. We NEVER get rid of the liberal RINOs. Ever. Yeah, 4 years of Hussein is horrible but it IS only 4 years and we can fight it. Romney? It is over for Conservatism.

Romney: “The Gay Community Needs More Support from the Republican Party’

Some politicians would sell their souls for a vote. And Mr. Romney just did that. He calles himself a "Christian", yet wants to elevate what these perverted horn dogs that the Scriptures call "an abominationn" to some sort of higher level than other Americans are entitled to.

Yep, those poor downtrodden homosexual deviants, who in general earn far more money than the average American, have united themselves into a powerful political entity, sought after by most politicians because of their collective POWER, unity, political clout, and MONEY. Yet, they deserve even more from us. Does Mitt want a "NATIONAL B.J. DAY", where every straight American can show his appreciation and respect for queers by giving one a Lewinsky? Hey Mitt, why not find a nice gay man from your of Christianity called "Mormonism", and make him your boyfriend. If things don't work out with your wife, you can go back to Massachuestts and marry your Mormon gay friend.

Bishop Romney's religion can always add a clause to cover that.

"Let them vote for Obama"

A Republican vote would signal a turn to sanity by the "Gay" Community. Not a likely event.
