Teen Murder Victim Begged for Life (2003 Article)
Tribune-Review (Pittsburgh) ^ | March 26, 2003 | Karen Zapf, TRIBUNE-REVIEW

A high school girl repeatedly begged for mercy while she was being tortured by her companions who finally took her outside, forced her to strip and shot her in the back of the head so she couldn't tell authorities what happened, Allegheny County Police said Tuesday. Rodney Lee Burton, 21, of the 1500 block of Oak Street, North Braddock, and Brittany Williams, 19, of the 200 block of McCutcheon Lane, Penn Hills, were arrested on charges of criminal homicide for the shooting death early Sunday of Dana Marie Pliakas, 17, of Murrysville.

Services are scheduled this afternoon for Pliakas, a junior at Franklin Regional High School, whose body was found at the bottom of the concrete steps leading from Electric Avenue in North Braddock to the Route 30 viaduct.

County Police Superintendent Kenneth Fulton said Pliakas and a companion went to a party Saturday at Burton's home where partygoers drank rum and smoked marijuana before the abuse and torture began.

"Why are you doing this to me?" Pliakas repeatedly cried as Williams assaulted her with a leather belt, her fists and a plastic bottle containing laundry detergent, a witness told detectives according to an affidavit of probable cause.

Williams continued the assault while Pliakas begged for mercy, the unidentified witness told detectives, according to the affidavit.

Burton, who is accused of firing the fatal shot, told reporters yesterday that he didn't shoot anyone.

Actually, “if 0bama had a son” is epitomized by this clip from Judge Judy:

It rather shows the trouble he’s in for election.

He has to blatantly pander and stir up the whole race thing all over again, because he knows that’s exactly why he was elected in 2008.

AG Holder has endorsed the Panther’s crimes against whites with the tossing of the 2008 voter intimidation case.

Too bad only Fox news had any coverage of it.

A white Mississippi State student was murdered by three blacks yesterday in his dorm.

Where’s the vigil for him?

500 whites are murdered every year. Tens of thousands of white women are victims of sexual assault by blacks; ZERO black women are assaulted by white men statistically.

But “blacks are under attack”?

Zimmerman was Jewish/Hispanic. Was a Democrat!!

Pathetic attempt to use hate and fear to motivate blacks for Obama.

I just wonder, though, how much Obama will actually benefit from his on-going race hustle. Is he hoping to win over the 18 black people who DIDN’T vote for him in ‘08? Or the leftwing limo types who are already going to vote for him? To whom exactly is this crap directed, electorally speaking? Divide and conquer, perhaps, is the goal - keep the nation’s racial factions ripping at each other’s necks to divert attention from the real issues, namely, that Obama is a crude Stalinist clown who doesn’t have the chops to chair a county board, much less serve as president.

Back before the “civil rights” horseshit started, people KNEW there was good reason to be very watchful of some people of africa decent. For whatever reason the ability to know right from wrong or to possess empathy is missing in a significant portion of that gene pool.

Now we have totally saturated our dear and often unknowing children to a liberal dosage of “one bad apple ruins the barrel” syndrome and wonder why generations subjected to massive liberalism are out of control, have no work ethic or common sense.

And the saddest part is that this was all done not for some Utopian wish for equality, but so the democrats could bond that ethic group to blindly vote for democrats for generations to come.

There are some black people that voted for him last time that are "underenthused" about getting out again. Partly, the novelty has worn off, primarily, he hasn't delivered "the big check" that they were expecting, and for some, the fact that whitey isn't in chains picking cotton is a big dissapointment.

And, there are the "white guilt" voters, not all of them lefty limolibs, just your run of the mill "gotta vote, it's my duty even though I'm uninformed" types whose "white guilt" has worn off.

And if I recall correctly, no “hate crime” charges ever brought.

Trayvon Martin and the Politics of Racial Guilt

Posted By Daniel Greenfield On March 26, 2012 @ 12:55 am In Daily Mailer,FrontPage | 20 Comments

When at the beginning of March, Allen Coon, a thirteen-year-old boy, was set on fire by two black teenagers who told him, “You get what you deserve, white boy,” this did not prove to be an occasion for national soul-searching. But the shooting death of Trayvon Martin by a Hispanic neighborhood watch captain after a scuffle between the two men has led to hysterical media coverage, state and federal investigations, civil rights marches, lynching threats from the Black Panthers and a statement from Obama urging Americans to search their souls for some unspecified reason.

The latter took time out from the trivial business of nominating a World Bank president to interfere in a local law enforcement matter and join his good friend Al Sharpton, who specializes in racist rhetoric, in throwing some racebaiting gasoline on the flames.

Good points, particularly about the mad dog black racists who sincerely (albeit insanely) believe Obama hasn’t done enough to stick it to The Man. My gut tells me, though, that the president will regret poking the country in the eye with his Racist Stick. Hopefully, he’ll antagonize a whole bunch of folks who would otherwise either not bothered to vote or would have voted for him.

“Tens of thousands of white women are victims of sexual assault by blacks; ZERO black women are assaulted by white men statistically.”

I don’t think the number of black women sexually assaulted by white men in the U.S. is zero per year, and thus your use of the adverb “statistically” is incorrect; I think that you meant to say that the number of black women sexually assaulted by white men in the U.S., as a percentage of the population of white men in the U.S., is “statistically insignificant.” In any event, your point—which I think is a very good one—would be more persuasive if you quoted actual statistics, such as, for example, “20,000 white women were sexually assaulted by black males in 2011 as compared to 78 black women who were sexually assaulted by white males that year” or whatever the real numbers are.

And even if blacks were disproportionately the victims of interracial crimes—which they’re not—we should be concerned with all crime victims, not just black victims.

Dana contributed to the crime because she might have said something racial while she was getting brutally beaten by Williams.

Did anyone say anything to the lawyers's moronic statement? Saying that should be a crime!

Are you kidding?

Lawyers can make any idiotic statement which they wish as long as it fits the PC template. The judge can order it stricken from the records but the jury cannot disregard it anymore than you can unring a bell.

Dana's family was originally very supportive of the DA's decision to pursue this as a death penalty case.

In the end, her family graciously accepted the jury decision for life without parole because they didn't want to be dragged through the endless appeals process and reliving the horror it would involve.

As a practical matter, it is virtually impossible to execute anyone in Pennsylvania unless they take purposeful action to end the endless appeals, i.e. essentially volunteer to keep their date with the grim reaper.

That needs to change if we are going to respect the value of life.

I thought - only the facts were permitted. Not only he didn’t have any evidence plus he was implying - a beating is OK if someone says something derogatory when being beating to death.

America is dying, and the DO”J” defends
murderers — when not giving them weapons.

They have fast and furious was only one of the scams they have ran. The others have been inside the U.S. with guns going to gangs.

One only has to ask who has the most to gain, and what they have to gain, from selectively fomenting hate and generalizing blame.

It's amazing that the liberals keep getting away with talking about peace and compassion etc. when it is so obvious that they are fomenting hate and violence.

[How often doe we spread the new?
Maybe once every three years?
We should all be posting these kinds of crime here daily.]

Not sure what you mean about ‘every 3 years’ NLZ. We spread the news by posting here and on other sites, we send out email to others who send it on. We talk to friends and family and give them the facts. And I, personally, write letters to the editor of my newspaper and have blogged on the newspaper forum.

We aren't going to find every story here, I read ALL over the net and do get upset when I see people post false comments......but I'm past arguing with those who don't want the real facts.

I supported Rick Perry and he was run down badly and wasn't a debater, so now I just wait to vote against Obama!!
