Sometimes Hollywood casting directors must chuckle into their sleeves at the way their decisions drive conservatives to distraction. Case in point - this news flash concerning Oscar-winner Jane Fonda's new project: Jane Fonda is going to be playing Nancy Reagan in a new movie. Oh yes. According to Variety, the reviled-by-conservatives actress/activist has joined the cast of "The Butler," the new Lee Daniels drama about a White House servant (Forest Whitaker) whose career lasted from the Truman Administration to Ronald Reagan's. Daniels is also looking to Liam Neeson to play Lyndon Johnson and John Cusack to play Richard Nixon. Arch-liberals Fonda and Cusack playing a pair of major figures on the Right? Conservatives should stock up on antacids starting ... now.

“WTF are these people thinking to cast that traitorous scumbag in that part.”

####

This is obviously intentional.

It is clearly an attack on the Right by the puerile, talentless scum bags who run Hollywood.

Heheh, now that is funny to consider!

I must say...I was not a fan of DiCaprio for a long time, but after watching “The Aviator” and “The Departed”, I have to give the guy credit. He is pretty good.

No doubt...liberals are pretty stupid, but I think of them like a dimwit spouse who might lack real intelligence, but has some kind of primitive embryonic emotional intelligence enabling them to push the right buttons that will unerringly drive their partner mad.

That is how I view them.

Don’t think for a second they don’t do things like that, because liberals understand conservatives have genuine respect for symbols, and that attacking those symbols is a way of pushing buttons for them.

"... the new Lee Daniels drama about a White House servant (Forest Whitaker) whose career lasted from the Truman Administration to Ronald Reagan's..."

I am going to guess this is NOT one of the career White House employees who have stated that working when Republicans were in the White House was far superior to the years when Democrats worked there.

Gary Aldrich references it in his excellent book: "Unlimited Access".

Aid and Comfort: Jane Fonda in North Vietnam, Henry Mark Holzer and Erika Holzer, 2001--a killer indictment, with the twelve transcripts, and the rest of the lawyers' treason brief.

An American Traitor: Guilty as Charged By Henry Mark Holzer and Erika Holzer expanding the thesis, debunking the apologetics.

I had the pleasure to assist the authors in a modest way, and can attest to their thorough accumulation of the evidence.

Particulary relevant now as POTUS the islamo-commie crack-smoking closet queen assures Vladimir through mini-Vlad that he'll be "flexible" after the coup.

Treason never doth prosper. And we know the rest.

When charges of treason were not leveled against Jane Fonda, I knew then that short of actual spying, Nobody would ever be convicted of treason again.

Why would Ted go see it? He threw her out when she got too nutty even for him. It was about the time she started the group Pink Vaginas or something like that.

And great link in that post, by the way. Sadly, Americans don't care about Jane Fonda and what she stands for. This makes a difference to you, me, and a lot of others to whom it is important and symbolic.

The rest of them just go "Eh."

This is why we think of that, "Those who forget the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them." Obama in Kenya in 2006 with Raila Odinga and the muslims burning Christians--rinse, repeat.

But Fonda-ism is important because Americans who give aid and comfort to our enemies — Communists then, jihadists now — put at risk, not only our cherished institutions, but — in today’s world — our very existence.

That is a great article and the above last paragraph sums it up precisely! Hanoi Jane and those like her have been and are a clear and present danger to our Republic.
