It is sad. Poor T barley had any time here.

Lynching Zimmerman wont bring him back or prevent more unfortunate events.

Educating youts that some people have guns, and if you attack them they will SHOOT YOU! So don't attack ANYBODY!

It'd be easier if we just went back to teaching the Bible in school. What's wrong with the Ten Commandments?

What's wrong with Jesus's ONE COMMANDMENT?

We refuse to teach them the TRUTH, and we wonder why they grow up confused!

I read this and I thought about it, and all I can say you are absolutely right. We have gone so wrong, all of us.

thanks for a thoughtful response.

I agree, he walked right into it, in one of his almost-daily efforts to get his name mentioned in the media. But I think afterwards, he wasn't necessarily just dwelling on Fluke, I think he was trying to walk it back, and instead just made it worse, till he finally apologized on Saturday.

Thanks for the ping.
So when the national media obligingly spins the yarn of Rush versus Innocent College Girl… Commissar Carusone, now amplified by the millions of dollars in leftist Media Matters money and machinery, had but to tweet and… BANG!
Notice, Dear Reader, that “the national media” is central to the leftist project. And notice that I use the singular number for “the national media” even though the noun “media” is theoretically plural. The grammar is correct, however, since I use scare quotes to indicate that, IMHO, “the national media” is not the correct term.
"People of the same trade seldom meet together even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public or some contrivance to raise prices." - Adam Smith
And what is the mechanism by which “people of the journalism trade meet together, and conspire against the public? People of the journalism trade are joined at the hip by the membership of their employers in the Associated Press.

The Associated Press was found to be in violation of the Sherman Antitrust Act back in 1945. Back then, of course, the stated mission of the AP - the conservation of scarce telegraphy bandwidth in the nationwide transmission of the news - made the AP seem much “too big to fail.” Now, however, data transmission technology includes lasers, fibre optics, microwave transmission, and satellites. Now, copious bandwidth is available at negligible cost. Now, the only thing between the AP and being sued into oblivion is the fact that the victims of journalism’s “conspiracy against the public” have been disoriented by the seeming multitude of “independent voices” of “the press” all coming at them simultaneously. It is not a diversity of voices, it is one voice - the voice of the AP.

Rush as target of agitprop is the point of the quote I pulled from the article, but there is always a target noticeable in the output of the AP. At present, a hispanic man named George Zimmerman is having his turn in the barrel. Until such time, if ever, as Mr. Zimmerman should be convicted in a court of law, officially George Zimmerman is innocent. But at the present time, Mr. Zimmerman is in hiding, and in fear for his life. The AP promoted that situation, and the journalism notes it without disapproval. As if nothing were more natural and unexceptionable than that a lynch mob should be operating as openly as the KKK ever did.
I want to know why George Zimmerman is not suing the AP, and its membership, for every dime it has.
George Zimmerman should own the AP.

The refrain you have from memory is so prophetic. I fear for my kids and grand kids. But all is in God’s hands. I am in the twilight of my life but the grand kids are just getting started. I fear they will never taste the freedoms I enjoyed and fought for. Sad. But we can only do what we can only do. Thanks for the post.
