Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) called Washington, D.C., the "city of Satan" from the Senate floor on Wednesday while describing the effects of the healthcare law currently under review across the street at the Supreme Court.
"It's interesting that the very same organizations that all signed up… and were bludgeoned into supporting ObamaCare… are the same organizations that come to our offices and ask for relief from ObamaCare," said McCain.
"It's a fascinating commentary on trying to do the Lord's work in the city of Satan," concluded the senior senator....

I don’t understand. He’s blaming these companies for being bludgeoned into supporting 0bama care and then asking for relief from 0bamacare? Sounds reasonable to me. Sounds like the problem is with the legislature, not the companies.
A former boss of mine (God rest his soul) one proposed that DC be turned into a National Park, leaving congress in place as sort of a living museum like they do in Colonial Williamsburg. Charge people for a day pass to get in sort of like what they do at Williamsburg and build a new capitol on an isloted patch of ground in the Great Plains somewhere, maybe where the borders of Kansas, Nebraska and Colorado meet.

One of the reasons I objected to John McCain being returned to Washington, D. C. as Arizona’s Senator, was that he had nearly thirty years in that city to get things fixed.
Being a dismal failure across the board, with regard to that, it was my take it was time to give someone else a shot.
McCain has been there longer than just about anyone. What do we have to show for it? If anyone is to blame, wouldn’t you think it would be the folks who had been there the longest, and hadn’t achieved anything along those lines?
Washington has gotten much much worse under John McCain’s tenure there.
Funny how he thinks it shows him to be a good guy, to recognize how bad our government is, with his direct participation.
