LAS VEGAS (AP) — First lady Michelle Obama and daughters Malia and Sasha are visiting Las Vegas after stopping in South Dakota on a family trip.
A spokeswoman for McCarran International Airport confirmed that the first lady was expected to arrive in Las Vegas Wednesday night.

Another trip!
How much time does this school allow these kids to take off? According to news articles, Malia was in Mexico on vacation with school friends, supposedly on a class trip. Papers report them arriving in Oaxaca on March 17th. After checking the school calendar, I found that the school was in session at the time of the trip. Spring break didn’t actually begin until March 23rd, and runs through April 1st. School restarts on April 2nd. Is it standard practice to give these kids extra time away from the classroom to take class trips? Besides touring sites and having fun, the kids were reported to have volunteered at an orphanage, but the school would not comment on what they actually did there. I thought trips like this were planned during scheduled school breaks, not when school was in session.
Well, now the girls will get a first hand look at how legal prostitution works and why contrasceptives should be free and those “special” checkups should be free.

A whirlwind trip just to see Mt. Rushmore missed the real beauty of the South Dakota Black Hills, but obviously she and the girls would rather see the glitz of Vegas and I bet do some high end power shopping. I’m sure Marie Antoinette Obama also didn’t want to mix with the unwashed rustics in South Dakota where the pick up trucks have gun racks and people still cling to their religion.
Las Vegas? I thought they were in Mexico and skiing in Aspen. Or was it Vail?

Kind of embarrassed to say I stopped by there shop a couple years ago in Vegas. Smaller than I expected. We only saw the Old Man.
I like the Old Man, even if he thinks FDR was the best President ever.
