You have to really feel good about how hard young black ‘headliners’ work to further the cause of the African-American citizen. We caucasians have struggled for generations to overcome the adverse affects of white-trash, drunk-druggie, thuggery and anarchy contributed to society by our white counterparts. We understand what good, upstanding, hard working, tax paying African American citizens must feel in shame at the actions of these young punks. They are as good as they will ever be.

Glad you asked. For me personally, I will never forget the evening a young man approached me in a parking lot wearing a gray hoodie. I couldn’t see his face very well, but I remember clearly the gun. I gave him my wallet, he took off, and I thought about how my life was almost traded for all of $20 and some credit cards.

I’ll argue that a person wearing a hoodie is suspicious in CONTEXT. 1) Wearing a hoodie in a warm climate CA or FL seems odd... maybe it was cold out. 2) When we see criminals on TV, such as those CCTV recordings, seems like they’re often wearing a hoodie... 3) When we see anyone approach a retail store, bank, wearing covering that hides their identity... I wouldn’t want to be the 3a.m. shift at at a gas station and have someone at the door wearing a hoodie. Or, a teller at a bank when a person enters wearing a ski-mask.

My 8 year old son wears a hoodie. I’m quite sure he’s not a part of this ‘thug life’ or a ‘gangsta’. He’s an A student, church goer, and the only violence I see him carryout is against ‘The Empire’ while he plays Lego Star Wars on his Wii. So I get your point, but think it’s a matter of what context such clothing is worn.
