How about an open season on federal hogs instead? No bag limit.

Texas has that. Don't even need a license.

Missouri has that on feral, and I knew Texas had basically that same rule. I did not know you all had one-upped us. It's about time some state started it. My nephew is a professor at A&M. He probably knows where the crossing are around there. I'll have to go visit him.

Wrong on two counts. #1 the post is about FEDERAL hogs. Those who feed at the trough of government - not FERAL hogs. #2 You must have a current Texas hunting license to hunt hogs in Texas. There is no limit on feral hogs but some counties have seasons and limits on Peccary (or Javelina).

It is just about time for the feral hogs to make their annual raid on my blueberry crop. Help!

Even CA has a one per day one in possession law. The only exception is in Monterrey County where many of the hogs are Russian Boar mix. Why that makes a difference I don’t know, they are still destructive.
